On my prior review I gave them a one star due to the incompetence of one of their waiters. Since then...... We were in the BGC restaurant about two months ago where I had made a reservation for our daughter’s birth day. When we got to the restaurant we met a host that was not aware that we had a reservation. Gave us an awful table by the side of the balcony while the restaurant had lots of empty reserved tables. When I asked him why he is not giving me a better table he behaved abnoxiousely. I asked him for the manager and he disagreed to call and said he is in charge. I left the restaurant upset, disappointed and angry and went to look for another restaurant. I do not need to add that this destroy the mood of the celebration. After my 1 star review I received a message from the store manager Sharlyn Gabiosa. She was very apologetic and went far beyond the call of duty trying to appease us. She send us home a full meal for 4 at no extra charge and gave us vouchers to come and try again the restaurant. I was pretty angry and I told her what is the point? The damage to our celebration was already done, besides I never saw a store that improves in their service. After a long conversation she convinced me to try the restaurant again. I said thank you and I may try them again down the line. Last night me and my wife, we reserved a table directly from Sharlyn. When we got to the restaurant we got accepted like royalty. The Service and the food they were beyond my best imagination. I hope Sairwon management will read this because Sharlyn Gabiosa is an asset that any owner/ceo would be lucky to have in their staff. She believes in her institution and in her management skills and she is all about making her customers happy. This is not a given you bosses, this is an exceptional employee. If not for her I would not try your restaurant ever again and neither my friends would. She gained me as her customer for life and I believe she would do it for any customer. She should get the best employee of the year. THNKYOU SHARLYN GABIOSA you made my evening wonderful and I am happy I trusted you and accepted to try you again I ate delicious dishes in your restaurant and got super service from Mhiko, he should be commended to for being there when needed and giving excellent advise about the dishes.. You made our...

Sariwon is a multi-awarded restaurant from Seocho, Gangnam in South Korea. Sariwon is actually the name of a town in North Korea where grandma Bun-Im-Koo first developed her recipe for Beef Bulgogi not using sugar for her diabetic husband. Her first restaurant was opened in 1938. After 85 years, Sariwon is going strong with awards from the NBC, NY Times and the Seoul Metropolitan Government as "Best Korean Restaurant."

In the Philippines, Sariwon was brought in by the Tan sisters, Donna and Diana, nieces of Jollibee founder Tony Tan Caktiong. They were vacationing in SK in 2009 when they tried Sariwon and fell in love with the food. After some negotiations, they were able to bag the franchise and opened their first branch in BGC at High Street Central in 2012. They operate under the corporate name, Happyfoods Group. They also have Soban K-Town Grill and Sibyullee under their wing. They were able to get this through Sung-Rah of Sariwon in SK.

For New Year lunch we had 2 Grilled Sets for 4. We were eight in the group.

The Special Grill Set (₱2,640) Yangnyeom Galbisal, Woo Samgyup, Grilled Bulgogi, Doenjang Chigae, Haemul Pajeon, White Rice for 4, Kaeinyachae Salad, Lettuce and 5 Banchan

The Premium Grill Set (₱3,520) Yangnyeom Galbisal, Fresh Galbisal, Yangnyeom Woo Samgyup, Soondubu Chigae, Haemul Pajeon, Japchae, White Rice for 4, Kaeinyachae Salad, Lettuce and 5 Banchan

We also had 2 Dak Galbi (₱580 each). This was boneless chicken marinated overnight in a secret spicy sauce and served on a sizzling plate. This was so tender and super delicious.

What's a Korean set without Soju so we had our New Year cheers and...

Sariwon, a North Korean restaurant nestled in the heart of the city, is a hidden gem for meat enthusiasts seeking an unforgettable dining experience. Renowned for its superb selection of succulent meat options, with the rib eye stealing the spotlight, Sariwon delivers a mouthwatering journey into North Korean cuisine.

From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere. The service at Sariwon was simply exceptional, thanks to our server Jonathan, who surpassed all expectations. His attentiveness, knowledge, and genuine passion for the restaurant's offerings elevated our dining experience to new heights. Not only did he guide us through the menu with expertise, but he also accommodated our preferences and ensured that every detail was taken care of.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the rib eye. Cooked to perfection, the rib eye at Sariwon was a revelation for meat lovers. Each bite was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The meat was expertly seasoned and grilled, showcasing the culinary prowess of the North Korean chefs. Accompanied by a delectable array of side dishes, including traditional Korean banchan, the meal was a delightful exploration of North Korean flavors.

Overall, Sariwon is a must-visit restaurant for meat enthusiasts and those seeking an authentic taste of North Korea. With its outstanding rib eye and impeccable service, this establishment has undoubtedly earned its place among the city's finest dining...

The Sariwon Queen's Feast Grill Set is an impressive offering that is sure to delight Korean BBQ enthusiasts. The set includes a variety of high-quality meats, including beef and pork belly, as well as a generous assortment of sides and condiments. One standout feature of the Sariwon Queen's Feast Grill Set is the quality of the ingredients. The deung shim ribeye, in particular, is exceptionally tender and flavorful, and the yangyeom galbisal is equally delicious. It is also quite tasty, with a nice balance of seasoning and juiciness. The sides and condiments that come with the set are also quite good. The fish cake is especially noteworthy, with a rich, tangy flavor that pairs well with the meats. The lettuce leaves provided for wrapping the meat, as well as the potato and sauces, are also of high quality. Another great aspect of the Sariwon Queen's Feast Grill Set is the presentation. The meat arrives pre-sliced and arranged on a platter, which makes it easy to grill and serve. The sides and condiments are also attractively arranged, making for a visually appealing spread. Overall, I would highly recommend the Sariwon Queen's Feast Grill Set to anyone who loves Korean BBQ. The quality of the ingredients, variety of meats, and overall presentation make it a standout option for a special occasion.
