Tucked just off Casa Crisologo, this cozy Mexican eatery offers a vibrant escape with its colourful interiors, featuring hand-painted murals of cacti and sombreros that set a lively, festive mood.
Despite its small size, there’s ample seating available, mostly on bench-style arrangements that are reasonably comfortable.
The menu is compact with around 15 items, making it easy to navigate. Beers (Light) are priced at 100 pesos. The restaurant operates on a cash-only or local money transfer basis—worth noting before you arrive. It is also order and pay at the counter and pick up with a pager.
Food highlights: • Quesabirria Tacos Their signature dish features beef birria tacos, toasted and oozing with cheese, accompanied by a rich, savoury consommé for dipping or sipping. These were indulgent, flavorful, and a definite standout.
• Tacos de Camarón These shrimp tacos, while presented well, were a bit of a letdown. The batter overpowered the shrimp, and the portion of seafood inside felt too light, making the flavor somewhat underwhelming.
Tacos are served in portions of two or three, depending on the item.

Guacomole was too prevalent in avocado (some people do prefer this - I wish there was that distinct roasted tomatillo or maybe even just roasting the tomatoes) Sauces were good though. Personally I think there are not that much acidic taste nor vinegar in the sauce available which to me would really elevate their already good beef birria

We spent a lot of time in Mexico, and apparently the owner did too. Quite disappointed with the food.
Points of improvement: The flour tortillas were thick, almost like pita bread and was served to us cold. Use mozzarella, Tex Mex, or basically just better cheese, and not some cheezee alternative. The meats were over seasoned - like really salty.
We tried the following: Birria Pescado Camaron Pollo Carnitas
Nice concept of adding chicharon/bagnet, and Vigan longganisa for the market but perhaps they should focus...
