We went to Cafe Evelyn for breakfast to try and avoid the huge crowds further into Calle Crislogo.

It looks as if they serve a buffet breakfast to people staying at the Casa Blanca hotel. We decided to order a la carte. It took awhile before we flagged down a server. He did not smile or greet us, just asked us what we wanted to order. We made some changes to our order because I am a vegetarian and the other doesn't eat bacon. The orders came out, though not together. I had eggs over rice. The first order had a bug crawling over the yolk. After telling the server he took the order back, but didn't apologize. After we finished our meals nobody came to clear our table. We walked up to another server to get our bill taken care of.

Our server seemed disinterested and did not smile once during our meal. We always had to initiate so that we could have food served. There was no apology for a bug in our food. We enjoyed the food, but we did not enjoy our time there. It's a shame as it's attached to a very nice looking hotel. Based on this first impression, we would not come back or recommend this place. We also probably would choose a different nicer hotel to...

Breakfast for two days which was served in the Evelyn Café, which had a dark, stylish interior and strong air-conditioning — a welcome break from the heat. On our first day, breakfast was à la carte with a choice between Filipino and American sets.

The portions were generous: two types of meat, eggs, vegetables, and rice. The deep-fried fish and longganisa were standouts. The scrambled eggs were fine, though the amount of rice was a bit excessive for breakfast. The vinegar-dressed salad was average.

Drinks included a juice that tasted like powdered pineapple pop.

On the second day, breakfast was served buffet-style with mostly the same options probably because there was more of a crowd.

However, there was a noticeable lack of fruit other than yellow watermelon for the buffet and non on the first day and the coffee was below average- bad to go out for my coffee fix after breakfast .

The so-called cucumber juice — actually a powdered green drink — tasted more like artificial melon.

Overall, the breakfast was filling but lacked in both...

Really nice and beautiful restaurant/ café with a very good menu. It’s definitely a good food restaurant and potentially the best cafe here….

The waiter (guy) was solemn and a bit rude from the beginning. The place was not playing music and felt solemn with the attitude there. When the Nachos arrived the cheese was not melted, it was cold on a cold plate. Ridiculous. I asked that it be heated to melt the cheese/ heat the dish. It seemed confusing for the waiter and was redelivered, somewhat heated but with more unmelted cheese added. I made a comment about the kitchen not understanding, the waiter shrugged his shoulders and walked away.

Lose the guy waiter or have a serious conversation about his attitude, play some fun music, turn down AC during cool weather and give this place some personality please! Female employee working...

During a leisurely stroll on a particularly rainy afternoon, my companion and I chanced upon your very nice restaurant and coffee shop. The sudden downpour led us to seek shelter, and it was then that your restaurant caught our eyes. The charming exterior and inviting ambiance beckoned us inside. Upon entering, I was immediately struck by the spaciousness and the warm, welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant. The décor was tasteful, and the friendly staff added to the overall pleasant experience. We decided to order some coffee, which turned out to be the perfect choice for the rainy weather. The fragrant aroma and rich flavour of the coffee truly enhanced our visit and made us feel right at home🌸
