La Casa Blanca de Vigan is a standout boutique hotel located right on Calle Crisologo, in the heart of the historic district. Opened in 2022, it blends heritage charm with modern comfort—making it one of the most polished and desirable accommodations in Vigan.

📍 Location & Heritage Charm

The hotel sits on the iconic cobblestone street of Calle Crisologo, giving guests direct access to the city’s heritage architecture, shops, and museums. Major landmarks like Plaza Burgos, Syquia Mansion, and the Vigan Cathedral are just a short walk away. The central location is ideal for exploring on foot and soaking in the atmosphere of this UNESCO World Heritage site.

🛏️ Rooms & Interior

Stylish Design: Rooms combine Spanish‑colonial woodwork with modern décor. Each unit includes Smart TVs, in-room safes, mini-fridges, kettles, and marble bathrooms stocked with toiletries and hair dryers.

Toilet & Bath: The toilet is modern and works reliably, and the shower provides consistent hot water via a gas heater—a feature that adds comfort, especially in the cooler months.

Room Types: Guests can choose from Superior King, Deluxe King, Deluxe Double Queen, Deluxe Twin, and larger suites like the Heritage, Governor (approx. 65 m²), and Presidential. Suites offer more spacious layouts, some with bathtubs and additional seating areas.

Comfort & Cleanliness: High-quality linens, strong air-conditioning, fast Wi-Fi (500+ Mbps), and professional housekeeping make for a consistently pleasant stay.

🍽️ Food & Dining

Café Evelyn serves breakfast from 6–10 AM. The breakfast is generally satisfying, though a few guests reported it arriving cold if served later in the morning. Menu-based orders are a good alternative and receive high marks.

The café also offers all-day dining with a mix of local Ilocano dishes and international options.

Heritage Sky Bar, located on the rooftop, is a great spot for cocktails and city views—especially at sunset.

🏊 Amenities & Facilities

Rooftop Infinity Pool: A highlight of the property, this pool provides sweeping views of Vigan’s rooftops and is perfect for relaxation or social media photos.

Spa Services: On-site spa and massage services are available for guests looking to unwind.

Events & Gatherings: The hotel has event spaces such as Pavilion Hall, The Lounge, and The Atrium, suitable for weddings, meetings, or family celebrations. There’s also a KTV lounge for private entertainment.

👍 Pros & Cons

Pros:

Excellent location in the heart of the heritage zone

Thoughtful interior design blending old and new

Comfortable, well-equipped rooms with reliable hot showers

Rooftop pool and bar with panoramic views

Friendly and professional staff

Fast and stable Wi‑Fi

La Casa Blanca is set in a beautifully modernized bahay na bato-style heritage house, with two entrances — one conveniently located along Calle Crisologo- Which is pedestrianised so car access from the De Los Reyes Street.

The first impression is charmingly a mix of traditional and modern, though the lobby area feels a bit cramped with its low ceiling.

This then opens into a bright courtyard space featuring a glass ceiling that floods the area with natural light. The fake green wall is an odd touch, but overall, it’s a clean, open, and modern setting. It could get quite hot, but thankfully, air conditioning is in place to manage the temperature.

The hallway leading from the elevator on the third floor to the rooms was extremely warm — almost like a Turkish bath — and could really benefit from better cooling or ventilation.

Room 312 is a twin room with glass panels overlooking the inner courtyard. The room was modern with two twin bed. The bathroom was modern with marble sink and lots of space for toiletries under. The shower and conifer were divided Tinto two different cubicles . The glass window for the bathroom has un-frosted strip which unfortunately when standing up was at eye level to that and could see into the bathroom!

Unfortunately, we experienced recurring issues with the water pressure in both the sink and the shower, along with a persistent sewage smell from the toilet cubicle. We reported it to the concierge, and while they did attempt to fix it, the smell returned within a few hours. The sink pressure improved slightly after maintenance, but the shower remained underwhelming.

Breakfast was served in the Evelyn Café, which had a dark, stylish interior and strong air-conditioning — a welcome break from the heat. On our first day, breakfast was à la carte with a choice between Filipino and American sets. The portions were generous: two types of meat, eggs, vegetables, and rice. The deep-fried fish and longganisa were standouts. The scrambled eggs were fine, though the amount of rice was a bit excessive for breakfast. The vinegar-dressed salad was average. Drinks included a juice that tasted like powdered pineapple pop.

On the second day, breakfast was served buffet-style with mostly the same options probably because there was more of a crowd. However, there was a noticeable lack of fruit other than yellow watermelon for the buffet and non on the first day and the coffee was below average- bad to go out for my coffee fix after breakfast . The so-called cucumber juice — actually a powdered green drink — tasted more like artificial melon. Overall, the breakfast was filling but lacked in both quality and effort.

The hotel also features a small pool and a rooftop Heritage Bar on the fourth floor (accessible by stairs). The bar offers sunset views, welcome drinks, and a decent cocktail list. The 6–8 PM happy hour drinks were unfortunately pre-mixed and overly sweet.

Despite some flaws, we had a generally pleasant stay. We even considered Hotel Luna but after visiting it, we felt La Casa Blanca offered the better...

Dear La Casa Blanca De Vigan Hotel Management,

I trust this message finds you well. I recently had the opportunity to experience a stay at your esteemed hotel and I would like to take a moment to provide my feedback on the overall experience. While there were many positive aspects of my stay, I feel compelled to express my disappointment regarding an issue that arose during my time at your establishment.

To my surprise, upon reviewing my final bill, I noticed an additional charge for a towel that we did not remove from the hotel premises. It is disheartening to find ourselves in a situation where we are being charged for an item we did not take, as it not only raises concerns about the accuracy of your billing processes but also detracts from the overall impression of professionalism and integrity.

As conscientious guests, we made sure to utilize the amenities provided within our room, adhering to the hotel policies and respecting the property. Therefore, discovering an unwarranted charge for a missing towel was both unexpected and unsettling. It left me questioning the attention to detail and reliability of your inventory management systems.

While I understand that mistakes can occur in any operation, it is disconcerting when guests are erroneously charged for items they did not utilize or remove from the premises. Such incidents reflect poorly on the overall customer experience and can mar the reputation of an otherwise reputable establishment.

I kindly request that you thoroughly review your records and investigate this matter to rectify the unwarranted charge. Taking prompt action to address this issue and implementing measures to prevent similar situations in the future would demonstrate your commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining a high standard of service.

I sincerely hope that this isolated incident can be swiftly resolved, as it has cast a shadow over an otherwise satisfactory stay at your hotel. I trust in your ability to address this matter diligently and restore my faith in the professionalism and integrity of your establishment.

Thank you for your attention to this concern. I look forward to your timely response and a...

Only giving 4 stars because of these key points: 1. We booked 3 rooms for 4 nights, with 6 adults total. Basically, all our breakfast is already included in the room rate. We wanted to request for an extra bed in one of the rooms because of how the adults needed to be placed in the rooms. Their rate was 1,400/night for the extra bed + breakfast. However, we didn't need breakfast since all the adults were covered in our room rate. We asked for this to be discounted but they refused because of "hotel policy". It is unfortunate because they still could have earned something from allowing our request. In the end, we didn't request for the extra bed anymore as we found their policy to be ridiculous not to be flexible for the amount we spent. 2. One of the days we stayed in, the breakfast served had cucumber juice that was super sweet and used syrup. I wish they served fresh juice instead. I want to commend the service from the concierge, as they were very helpful in other aspects. They also serve a good spread for breakfast - always had Vigan longganisa. The location was also very convenient and it was also nice to see the street from the rooms. Would I come back? Yes but I hope they improve points mentioned.
