McDonald's — Restaurant in Łódź

I don’t write reviews, ever, but this incident is too embarrassing for me to ignore it. Me and my bf went in this McDonald’s and he was on the phone so I was the person that ordered the food. There was an elder lady working and I just show the code on the phone, she scanned the code and I said “Ice Tea”. I know some people doesn’t speak English but you’re working in Piotrkowska McDonald’s, do you just hire anyone there??!? And Ice Tea is a common word for Polish people. So the lady not trying to understand what I meant for give me a chance to even try, she just say Nie Nie Nie?!? My bf at that moment got heated and said “Ice Tea” with a loud voice, which I apologize for, and the lady suddenly understand him. Some guy at the back walked to the front and speak Polish to my bf with a very demeaning attitude, completely IGNORED me, so by now, I think he’s another person that can’t speak English. So I move on, show the elder lady another code on my phone, and she just said Nie. She did it the first time, so now she suddenly doesn’t understand to even scan the code? It’s basic body language that she doesn’t need Polish for, yet still incompetent to do so. She start talking in Polish while rejecting me, later on I asked my bf what she said and apparently, she said “Oh my god this one I don’t understand at all”. SHE DOES NOT ADDRESS ME AS A PERSON??!? So English speaker out there, beware of this McDonald’s since they do not understand basic language or common sense. So BYE BYE. Love McDonald’s but to belittle me like that is unacceptable...

I didn’t notice this McDonald’s at first, even though I’ve been here before, because the facade is under renovation and all the signs are covered. The menu, food, and service are just like always, no surprises there. Inside, near the entrance, there isn’t much space, and it often gets crowded with delivery couriers and people waiting and making orders from the self-service monitors. I decided to take my food to go, and everything was fine. Overall, it’s a typical McDonald’s experience, but keep in mind that the entrance area can feel a bit busy. Horrible place and blond manager is awful. I had ordered food, but my order wasnt in queue. I’ve asked stuff about the order and manager told me that there is no option for me to get my food, i told him that i’ve paid but he told me that he can do nothing and suggested me to go home or order something else.
