Jack Sparrow Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Białystok

We had a reservation for 4 people, when we walked in they greeted us and said that the wait for the food is going to be around 30mim-1hour which we found shocking but thought we’ll have some drinks and wait and catch up. We got our order in very quick and got your drinks, other people were coming in. When the hour past and people that walked in after us already got their food and started to leave we started getting a bit worried. none of the started were out, nobody came up to check if we need more drinks. We didn’t get any food until we came up to the lovely waitresses that seemed to be struggling a lot under their incompetent management and we told them that we have a train that leaves in an hour and a half and we need the food now or we’ll need to leave. After 2 hours and 15 minutes food finally came out. starters and mains came out all together 3 out of the 5 dishes were stone cold. We said to the waitress that we expect some sort of discount as at this point we’re starving and will eat anything and we also don’t have time anymore to go anywhere else. It was truly a terrible experience and we’ll never be back there again. When asked what’s taking so long they mentioned having a lot of catering orders and kitchen is doing it’s best. It’s best being having to wait for cold food for over two hours just so they can get takeaway orders? what about people sitting down? it was so unprofessional, we didn’t get offered any drinks for the wait, absolutely nothing but the discount we got for the three dishes that were cold when they came out. We’ve seen people being sat down and then they left before their order was even taken as nobody would check in on them. Would be more understanding if the restaurant was full but more than half the tables were empty, they were at max 40%...

*UPDATE! CLOSED due family issues... I presume, based on countless newspapers stories. I was a little discouraged by all the pub-style joints in the center of the town, Sherlock Holmes especially, but I allowed myself to give it another try. The place was almost empty, it was a very cold day, mid-week, so not a good first impression, but it changed almost instantly. It IS in my opinion a really nice place to go for a drink, meet some friends and maybe even have lunch or dinner. They have a small but good variety of beers, huge display of spirits of all kinds, ages, provenance and strength, and very tasty food. I had a bowl of chicken soup and pierogis, which tasted really fresh and "home-made". I did see other dishes being served AND eaten by a large group of guests right next to my table, and every plate looked really mouthwatering. Everyone seemed to enjoy it too. I will definitely go...

Obsługa na bardzo niskim poziomie. Przyszedłem z żoną, usiedliśmy przy stoliku i przez 30 minut nikt do nas nie podszedł. Poszedłem więc do baru i zapytałem barmana, czy możemy coś zjeść mimo odbywającego się eventu odpowiedział, że tak, jak najbardziej. Poprosiłem więc, żeby ktoś podszedł do stolika po zamówienie, ale nikt się nie pojawił. Kolejne pół godziny czekania i żadnej reakcji. Dopiero gdy sam zaczepiłem kelnerkę, usłyszałem w arogancki sposób, że nie możemy zamawiać, bo nie jesteśmy uczestnikami eventu.

Drzwi do lokalu były otwarte, a ja nie mam obowiązku czytać każdego plakatu czy kartki na witrynie pomiędzy innymi ogłoszeniami. Wchodzę, pytam obsługę, czy mogę zamówić dostaję odpowiedź, że tak. I na tym powinno się skończyć. Tymczasem kelnerka zamiast przyznać się do błędu, rzucała tekstami w stylu: „jakby pan umiał czytać, co jest na drzwiach, to by pan wiedział”. Mało tego stwierdziła jeszcze, że gdybyśmy byli obcokrajowcami, zostalibyśmy poinformowani, że nie zostaniemy obsłużeni, ale skoro jesteśmy Polakami, to powinniśmy się nauczyć czytać.

Kiedy zapytałem o imię, żebym mógł napisać opinię, usłyszałem: „niech pana to nie obchodzi”. Kelnerka blondynka w białej koszulce i czarnych spodniach była bardzo arogancka i kompletnie pozbawiona kultury w rozmowie z klientem.

Byłem w tym lokalu stałym klientem, ale po dzisiejszej obsłudze moja noga tu więcej nie postanie. Brak jakiegokolwiek profesjonalizmu i podstawowych zasad rozmowy sprawił, że lokal właśnie traci grono stałych gości. Jedna taka osoba potrafi zrujnować wizerunek całej firmy....
