NEW CHINA TOWN Bydgoszcz — Restaurant in Bydgoszcz

Terrible experience, from the call to the visit. We called the restaurant for the table reservation. We spoke english, because we were sure, that the employees will understand us. That assumption came from the fact, that the restaurant menu is written in english. Unluckily, wave of disappointments began. The lady that picked up our call was so lost. She couldn’t speak english at all neither fully polish. My husband called the restaurant, but he had to pass me the phone, because of the language problems. I was already slightly upset, but it still wasn’t it. After I asked about the free tables, she decided to leave the phone somewhere and disappear for at least 7 minutes. All we could’ve hear, were loud kitchen noises and some random yells. Finally, we got our reservation, but i could’ve sense the annoyance from her, like she was there as a punishment. Our reservation was at 16:30. Another weird situation happened. There were many tables reserved for that hour (it’s important in the context later). At the beginning no one told us where to sit and some random person sat on a reserved table for two people, so basically anyone could just sit on a random place, and no one would check it. We were confused what to do, there was kind of a chaos. Nobody welcomed us, and the whole “restaurant” looked more like a bar or mc donald’s (the smell was similar too). We sat at the table we reserved, decided what we wanted to eat, and headed to the queue to order our food. We were waiting and when we got there we started to take our order. It was very hard to complete, because the lady which was taking it, couldn’t focus at all. She was talking with everyone else but us, we had to ask her few times if she is listening. I decided to order sushi and apparently i got to know, that the chefs can’t prepare most of the dishes i wanted to order, because of the large amount of people (we didn’t get informed in the phone call, that there’s too many people right now, plus there was so many reservations, that it looked like they actually had time to serve all of the orders). Well a 3 o'clock table at new China town as usual the meal was fantastic you order at the counter and pay cash up front no card use at this visit something they need to embrace waiter does bring your food but you clear your own table as the food is excellent I am fine with this you will find it better to order a starter and pay then your main meal as they serve quickly and you will find all your food in front of you at one time I would recommend this restaurant to any lover of great Vietnamese...

I don't like to write but reviews but unfortunately I have to do so today. The food looks amazing and portions are big. However... I ordered SPICY Thai curry and it was super sweet, nothing to do with spicy. I know the base is coconut milk which is sweet however the dish had nothing to do with red Thai curry. You should definitely add in the menu and aware your waiting staff that if the customer order spicy you should add - its not spicy, its sweet like a cake... Completely...
