On a visit to Katowice we strolled around looking for somewhere to have a meal and came across this restaurant, from the outside it looked nice and welcoming so we went inside. Decor was a little basic but we was welcomed and found a comfortable table, there was only 1 other customer on our arrival which surprised us as nearly every restaurant in the area was packed. We ordered our food and whilst waiting we overheard the other customer complaining about her food and after getting nowhere she walked out of the restaurant, however just before she left she wished us good luck as the food was terrible.
Our starters were served consisting of vegetable samosas and paneer pakora, the vegetable samosas were extremely bland with no flavour at all and the paneer was OK nothing special so we waited to see how the main course was. The main course arrived consisting of lamb biriani, chicken tikka massala and special chicken madras thali, at this point the waiter didn't even know which dish was which but luckily from experience we did. the biriani lacked in flavour and spiciness and the lamb seemed old and dry, the madras thali was OK you could actually taste the spice bit again the chicken was a little dry, now onto the massala, the dish when it arrived looked fine but when putting the chicken on my plate I couldn't believe my eyes the chicken looked absolutely disgusting there was sinew on the meat which there was hardly any of, the meat was so bad I wouldn't even serve it to my dog it literally was the meat that you would usually throw away before cooking a chicken. And the naans that were served alongside were burnt. Obviously after seeing the meat in the tikka massala we couldn't eat any more. The waiter came over and we voiced our concerns and when he didn't know what to say we asked to speak to a manager. It was at this point and he went and got us someone who could help then tentatively stood against the wall, the gentleman that came over was just another waiter working at the thai restaurant next door (owned by the same company) he was absolutely lovely and listened to everything we had to say then went to the kitchen to see what they had to say, he came back with a plate with 2 pieces of chicken on it saying the chef had asked us to try this chicken to see if it was any fresher but by this time we couldn't stomach any more of their food, he was really helpful and apologetic and all the time we was talking to him the chefs just stood behind the screen at the back staring and pointing at us and refusing to come over to talk to us, this made me feel uncomfortable so much so that even though I needed the toilet I held it in as didn't feel comfortable walking past them There were only 3 good things about this experience, the Indian style lemon water was lovely, the mango lassi was the best I have ever tasted and the waiter from the other restaurant that they sent to try to calm things (Muhammed Asif) was genuinely lovely (we know it wasn't his fault) Now we know why this restaurant was empty AVOID...
Read moreIt's very good restaurant, which offers Indian food. 4.5 Stars We ordered Thali there, I'm an Indian and food was not that authentic Indian but I must admit the food was above expectations. The restaurant tried matching it to Indian taste... although some curries had not at all Indian flavour but I would recommend you this restaurant without a single doubt.. Food: we ordered Thali The plus point is it has various options in Thali with curry of your choice We ordered maxi mixed Thali, which gives you option to choose 4 veg or non veg curry We ordered: Veg Kolhapuri: not authentic Kolhapuri but I would still recommend it,it tasted yum Dum Aalo: please do not order it😣not even by mistake Kadahi Chicken: at par😋 Butter Paneer: you must give it a try too...was very nice 1 Naan- 3 pieces One small bowl rice One small bowl salad One gulab jamun: very good
We had to order one extra naan for us as the Thali was not enough for two, although curries are sufficient for two people
Ambience: The restaurant maintains not only very good hygiene but also adopted quiet good Indian interior and feel so far possible with Indian music.
So if you want to try something different in Katowice..a must go...

It was lunchtime 1pm. I saw the waiter picking up the lunch time menu & then putting in down and give me the normal menu. I was pushed to order & then I said I want the lunch time menu. The waiter was not happy. Reason? Because the lunch time menu is CHEAPER! so even though I was entitled to the lunch time menu they tried to trick me into paying more. So disgusting. The waiter avoided me after this incident. I made my order which was bland. No flavour & not fresh.
The reason there's a lot of 5 star reviews is that these r ppl who don't usually have Indian food. They don't know what's actually good. This is very low standard food.
Also order at your own risk - well don't lie to customers then. Talk to your customers instead of trying to get quick sells.
