We had previously dined at Wietnam, a nearby restaurant we really enjoyed, so when we saw that BaWietka was run by the same team and shared the same suppliers—with a Finebite discount available—we decided to give it a try. And it turned out to be a perfect dining experience! The atmosphere is filled with Vietnamese charm, and the service was friendly and attentive. We ordered a variety of dishes and drinks, and everything was absolutely delicious. The food came at a reasonable pace, the portions were generous, and the presentation was beautiful. We started with two types of pho and some Vietnamese spring rolls. The pho was flavorful, light, and aromatic, while the spring rolls were fresh and full of texture—we couldn’t stop eating them! One of the highlights of this place is the Vietnamese baguette. A friend of mine who has been to Vietnam said it was very authentic—and indeed, it paired perfectly with the main dishes. The sticky rice was also a great option. The chicken thigh and diced beef were both tender and well-seasoned, with a great balance of spices and saltiness. The squid dish was tangy and refreshing, and the prawns—coated in a rich salted egg yolk sauce—were uniquely satisfying. For vegetarians, there are also some tasty tofu-based dishes. They offer a wide selection of traditional Vietnamese drinks that are definitely worth trying. I will...
Read moreNew and nice decorated place though food was indifferent. -taste&quantity: I had a pho with chicken and was a hospital style soup with almost zero taste i have tried by far much better and cheaper pho in other places. Then we tried the bawietka with pork and it was like a small sandwich like the breads you take from zabka and almost empty inside. Last option was xoi with pork, taste was good but rice was super sticky like mud. Portion of pho soup was big, bawietka was small does worth the money and xoi also small. -price: pho 38pln was expensive. Bawietka 28pln was also super expensive, xoi 28pln was decent. Tea for 19 pln come on people is just boiled water with some leaves. -service: we were waiting 15 minutes to place our order and we asked twice for it. The place was not crowded. But ok food arrived fast. Staff was friendly and polite. -atmosphere: very nice...
Read moreTried Bavietka in Kraków for takeout and overall had a pleasant experience, though with a few caveats. The flavors were tasty, but I had to specifically ask for the typical Vietnamese garnish—it wasn’t included by default, I think they forgot or tried to see if I don’t realize it, which was a bit disappointing given it’s such a key part of the presentation and flavor balance.
The dish was enjoyable, but I’m not entirely convinced this is truly traditional Vietnamese cuisine. The menu feels somewhat limited, missing authentic meat-based options like tripe or other classic cuts you’d expect from a Vietnamese kitchen in pho.
That said, the quality is solid, and it’s still a good option if you’re craving something fresh and flavorful—just don’t expect the full depth of traditional...
