Makaroniarnia — Restaurant in Krakow

The restaurant is cozy. The dishes very tasty, but the waiter (man) is rude. When I was there for the first time, everything was ok. But I didn't have much money with me, so I didn't leave the tips for the waiter. The next time, he was serving us again and it was easy to notice that he wasn't very happy about it. Probably, he thought that I wouldn't pay the tips again. So he threw the menu, didn't bring the salt and pepper, (usually, they give appetizers) but he didn't. For the beer with syrup, he didn't bring the cocktail tubes. And I was waiting for the bill for so long, so I decided to come to him and ask about it. And what he did? He did not print the bill, so I could have the opportunity to check it, he shouted the amount, so everyone at the restaurant could hear it. It's unprofessional and according to polish law illegal. If I pay, I must have the bill printed out. I would like to address to the owners, I like your restaurant, especially for your excellent dishes. Before my recent visit, it had been a few years since my last visit. I sat outside with a guest and ordered our dishes. While waiting, another diner approached with children and a dog. The dog, unfortunately seemed to have diahorreah and left several deposits along the narrow channel of outside seating. The smell was inescapable as our food arrived. The dog owner used dry tissues to clean the mess, but the smell lingered, and this did ultimately spoil the experience. Sadly this wasn't the only low point, as a swig of my drink left me with a tiny and sharp shard of glass in my mouth, assumingly remained in the glass after slme accident in the kitchen - who knows, im only thankful I didnt swallow it. As far as the food, pleased to say that it was quite tasty, both pasta dishes, but the portion size based on the cost, was disappointing. Will maybe go again someday, but on this day, dessert was...

It is hard to write a negative opinion but this place doesn't leave us a choice. There is nothing good about this place apart location and the staff and only for the last one I am giving 1 star as this place deserve none. This is not a restaurant. The food was horrible and is a disrespect to Italian cuisine. We ordered PIZZA Margherita, PAPPARDELLE WITH BEEF TENDERLOIN and PENNE WITH CHICKEN. Pizza tasted like frozen. Pappardelle did not have any sauce and penne was more like soup. We have complained about the pappardelle as it was the worst one from all 3 and since we were hungry we ate the other 2. At the end the waitress apologized and offered free juice and we did not pay for pappardelle, which was a nice gesture. This is such a shame as this place has potential, but chef needs to be changed.
