Santos Lublin — Restaurant in Lublin

I had a weird, confusing experience here today for lunch. I was the only customer there and I was not sure they were open, but they were. I got menus from the register and went to sit outside, after waiting for some time I assumed there was no table service at this restaurant so I ordered myself at the register. No big deal, though as I was waiting I read the reviews of this restaurant to see people had great experiences with friendly table service. So I was a bit confused. I ordered a lemonade that took a while to come out (I thought maybe I was meant to collect it myself, from the register, since again I was not sure if there was table service) and was not very good, the pizza was forgettable, stiff, and dry. No oils are served with the pizza so there’s nothing to help with that. The Parmesan on my pizza did not seem fresh, seemed like it was from a can. I came to this restaurant after the one I wanted to visit was unexpectedly closed, and I wish I had gone elsewhere. Once I finished my meal no one came so I carried my plate of pizza inside to ask for a box and to pay. One employee was texting and did not even look up at me. The waitress told me the chef is reading and paying attention to comments. That’s actually a good sign for the restaurant!

I’d like to be objective. Three days ago, I ordered the Pollo Salad and an Aperol as a drink. When the waitress took my order, he asked which meat I wanted—since the menu shows only meat options for the salad: chicken and bacon. I said chicken. However, the salad came with both chicken and pork. It was delicious, exactly how I expected, but I noticed something odd: there were both cut and uncut tomatoes in the salad. Of course, it didn’t affect the taste, but it seemed a bit strange. Probably the chef put a lot of effort into preparing the meats and simply forgot to finish cutting the tomatoes. As I said, though—it was tasty!

Now, about the drink(bar). Drinks should be the easiest part in a restaurant. Unfortunately, I found 3–4 orange seeds in my Aperol. May I ask why? Are seeds considered part of the Aperol recipe? Also, the overall taste of the Aperol was 5 out of 10(bar). It could’ve been a bit redder and more balanced.

Probując odnaleść jakąś "nową" resteuracje w której jeszcze nie jedliśmy, wybrałem z dziewczyną resteuracje Santos, patrząc po opiniach stwierdziliśmy że możemy pójść razem na dzień chłopaka, ale mocno się rozczarowaliśmy... złożylismy rezerwacje ale w sumie niepotrzebnie, bo wchodząc odrazu z wejścia coś mi nie pasowało, bo ludzi tam nie bylo wcale co dziwne w tym dniu bo wszędzie pełno było, jak to w dzień chlopaka każdy chce świetować. No okej mówie zostajemy damy szanse, ale to była bardzo zła decyzja zamowiliśmy dwa burgery i karafke soku pomarańczowego. Standardowo sok i sztucce dostaliśmy prawie odrazu, na burgery poczekaliśmy jakieś 25-30min. Na pierwszy rzut oka nie wygladały źle jedynie co to śmiesznie troche wygladała sałatka z rukoli ze smietana i pomidorkami pierwszy raz takie cos widziałem, no ale mowie może tak ma być. Sprobowałem kawałek mięsa już na wstępie cos mi dziwnie smakowało, okazało się że mięso było nie wiem no tak spalone że aż takie ochydne w smaku (możliwe że patelnia na ktorej byl smazony była przypalona wczesniej smak przesiąkł i samo mięso tez było zwęglone miejscami aż chrupało) plus do tego bardzo intensywny blue chease, bo wybrałem burgera drwala, no powiem że to była maskara. Moim zdaniem w burgerze mięso głownie robi robote, a tutaj to moglem co najwyzej bulkę zjeść z resztą skladnikow i tak zrobiłem, frytki tak jak mięso przeciagnięte za długo i suche. Miałem otrzymac zamowinie bez ogorków chili, to dostalem same papryczki jak widac na załaczonym zdjęciu, dobrze że nie mam problemu z ostrymi rzeczami ale jakby ktoś miał uczulenie to takie pomyłki troche średnie bym powiedział. Moja dziewczyna miala dostać burgera Country ktory miał być z camembertem i żurawiną dostała klasycznego zwykłego bez niczego i tak samo mięso za długo lezało na wysmażonej patelni tak samo bylo czuć było taki nieprzyjemny smak. Dziwiłem się że tak ciężko zrobić starannie zamowinie jak nie było nikogo praktycznie w lokalu. Zawiodłem się i to bardzo, pani powiedziała że za pomyłkę z burgerem to znizke da, no fajnie tylko że ja jedząc juz w róznych knajpach nie bylem w stanie zjeść mięsa i zostawiłem co dla mnie to rzadkość. Całokształt dał dużo do myślenia, po prostu zauważyłem że nie ma w Lublinie dobrych knajp, można policzyć na placach u jednej ręki, szkoda bo chciałem miło spędzić ten dzień, a to zostawiło mi niesmak, bo sam chciałem tam pójść... nie jestem osobą wybredną naprawdę, ale nie szanuje takiego podejścia do klienta, nie polecam z...
