Vanilla Hotel — Hotel in Lublin

Just a sidestep from Warsaw on the biz it was. Arrival at Lublin Airport, lucky me to catch one of the three only per day train departures for Lublin Glowny, the main train station and by taxi for the hotel, together around 25 Zloty. The taxi can´t go straight to the hotel in the pedestrian zone, but there are just a few meters for finals. A nice welcome, room is prepared, heating works also in October and is necessary actually. Room not that large, but ok, bathroom is larger than expected and also well fitted, everything works well. Some noise during the night from the pedestrian area, but nothing serious. Breakfast is available from 07.00 am, early for me due to the daily schedule. Really good, everything there what I need this time in the morning. The hotel enjoys a very convenient position , very close to the old center. The parking is nearby, one street ahead, but the service there is only in Polish: we managed thanks to a kind lady that translated for us, and also thanks to Google translate! Anyway, they' re quite relaxed, no stress.You can also ask them to call the reception for every communication, and there of course language is not a problem. The building is historical, nicely appointed,our double room was big , silent, nice sized bathroom ; there' s a lift to reach the floors. Hotel is located in the center of the cafes and restaurants so location is the best part of it. However, the rooms were poorly decorated and the air conditioner didn’t work properly. We stayed for three nights and our room wasn’t cleaned at all. Only the rubbish was taken from the room. Breakfast was a disappointment for our group. The vegetables were not fresh, and whatever we ate the previous day wasn’t served again the next day. The lady who was working in the kitchen was quite rude and constantly complained in Polish during breakfast. She even started to clear the table while we were having breakfast.
