Little Japanese restaurant with a unique style of a small Japanese bar with very tasty food was a fun experience. Gyudon was tasty but a little bit bland for my taste and the quality of beef could be better because I had a few tough pieces in there but overall it tasted like it should not the polish version of an original dish which I hate in foreign restauratns. I rate it 6/10. The other dish we took was Oyakodon and it was much tastier also because we asked for extra spicy - 8/10. Finally we ordered Tonkatsu for the table. It was very crispy, delicious and the meat was of good quality. A little fatty, perfect. 9/10 just could be a bit more seasoned but that's just my personal preference. All in all if you want to try original japanese food in Poznań I highly recomend trying Haikara. The food for me is 7/10 with reasonable prices. For around 40zł you'll get something that will fill you up. I couldn't finish my whole dish. The place itself is nice but a bit small. Only around 8 to 10 people can fit inside at the same time but there's nothing they can do about it. They staff is friendly but they do not speak Polish but you shouldn't have much of a problem since you can show what you want on the menu if you don't speak...
Read moreThe restaurant has been newly opened by a Japanese owner living in Poznan last month :)) you can enjoy the authentic Japanese Curry!! There are different types of Japanese curries at Haikara. My friend and I ordered the cutlet curry and the Keema curry( minced meat curry) Both taste are different but Very tasty!! If you are hungry, the cutlet curry would be the best. If you like a creamy curry, the Keema one will be good. For the cutlet lovers, I would recommend to try Japanese cutlet which is slightly different from polish cutlet ;) There are the Japanese cafe called happa to mame next to haikara. Those are the best afternoon places to hang out like going to Haikara for meal and chill at happa to mame. The interior of Haikara is simple, clean, and very relaxing, you can enjoy going there for...
Read moreWe've been eating here for a few years now, although mostly through delivery. We were never disappointed. The dishes are filling, tasty and made with good quality ingredients. Mr. Daisuke is a really nice and polite man, serving best japanese cuisine. Although the place is small, it has a nice atmosphere, similar to many restaurants in Japan, where people eat by the counter. I'm happy to see that Haikara is doing well and developing, adding new dishes and interesting cocktails and drinks. Fingers crossed for many more years of serving great...
