Manekin — Restaurant in Poznan

The food here is both special and delicious. A great number of dishes that have their base a pancake. I've picked the no. 6 tagliatelle pancake. A rather large meal that didn't really needed a soup as a starter. However I'm glad that I've picked the mushrooms soup, which was served in a bread bowl. The soup, itself could have been a main. The bread it was served in was crispy on the outside and nicely softened inside by the soaking soup. I started eating it, then my main arrived. I had to stop when I saw it's size!

On the service side, it's fast and even with a queue at the front of the restaurant, you will get seated withing 20 minutes or so. We arrived at 2:40 pm and we were seated at 3 pm. The young ladies (early 20's) working there have to put with a high volume of work. For that you will have to forgive their rushing attitude and not very friendly faces. Otherwise they will give you all the information you need.

This place is exceptional. I love “Manekin” chain in general. First time visited the one in Poznań. We were a group of 4 people. We were welcomed by a team member and we could choose where we want to sit. It was plenty of space. We found perfect seats for us. Our waitress was very nice and helpful, she spoked very good English. She handled everything perfectly and with a smile on her face. Our food and drinks were very tasty too. Portions are big and you won’t leave being hungry. My partner loved the baked pancake with pulled beef. The experience was amazing and the prices in Manekin is something that needs to be mentioned. We paid 170 zł for 4 people! This is around 35£. This was a highlight of the visit along with amazing customer service. If you are in Poznań make sure you visit...

My 2nd time in 5 days, amazing savoury pan cakes and yummy sweet pan cakes. You feel like keep eating more and more. Lots of different varities in both savoury and sweet pan cakes. Staff is very polite and always willing to give suggestions in case of any doubts of first timers. You get a free sauce with savoury pancakes with lof of different options. You also get a chance to pick sauce with sweet pancakes. I have tried both sweet and savoury pan cakes in both Gdansk and Poznan, no different in taste and quality.
