The food's pretty okay, the place nice, the staff made of friendly people - but something's off there. When us 4 arrived on our planned double date, there were already a few people queuing. We had to wait for more than just a few minutes, only to be told there's no table for four so we got seated separately. What can you do, it's a small restaurant with approx. 18 spots in total.
When a table next to the couple we went with freed up, we were politely asking to be allowed to move there - which felt like totally overdoing it already instead of just taking our bowls and going over there. Well ... the matter was escalated to the boss back in the kitchen. And the boss said ... NO. For no reason. But it gets worse:
Meanwhile, there were 8 more people queuing in the hallway. But as we had gotten denied to move and the people waiting were two groups of four, the 2 person table left of us and the 2 person table right of us remained free for more than 10 minutes while those poor people were standing in the hallway.
Never seen something that ridiculous in my life. Couldn't stop myself from laughing out loud. Can't believe the people waiting there watching us eat thought of it as funny though.
Having like 6 tables in your small restaurant and wasting two of them on purpose, making four people unhappy by denying them their double date and eight people unhappy by not giving them a table at all ... Is that a protest against capitalism, do you just like to exert power or are you really, really...
Read moreThe ramen is absolutely delicious. The fresh noodles are not only delightfully chewy but also carry a distinct wheat aroma. The bone broth is exceptional—you can tell it’s been slow-cooked for hours, resulting in a rich, flavorful taste that’s perfectly balanced and not overly salty. The barbecued pork is incredibly tender, and the minced meat’s flavor is truly outstanding! The thoughtfully paired side dishes enhance the ramen’s complexity, adding layers of texture and taste. It’s rare for me to finish an entire bowl of ramen in Poland, including the broth. If I ever visit Poznan again, I’ll definitely return to try more dishes from this place! It’s a pity that I was so busy enjoying the delicious food that I forgot to...
Read moreFirstly, I need to mention that the local is minuscule but so adorable inside, feels authentically just like at Japanese ramen shop. The food was amazing, we’ve got wonton nacho with meat and the sauce that comes with it was delicious, wontons we’re freshly made, crispy 😋! Kimchi was one of the best I had in Poland — but the main course: ramen. So delicious, the broth needed extra spice to my liking but overall tasted great, the noodles were perfectly done, another ramen we ate, was shoyu with chicken. One take: you need to be starving to fit two starters and ramen 🍜! We really may have overplayed our hands a little. If you are in Poznan you must...
