Very good food that is hindered by the location

Resturant with good ramen and several other smaller Japanese dishes.

Now about the location of the resturant, it's hidden away in a basement. Interior is OK but could have lots of improvements.

But the big thing about the location is that it gets very humid and varm. And when you are eating hot ramen and having that condition in the restaurant you can start getting really sweaty.

So I would suggest them to get a better local or to have air-conditioning. Otherwise the it's located very centrally in Torun but it can be a hassle to find it since it's a basement resturant.

Now about the food and beverage, they have a great selection of different ramen soups, smaller Japanese starters, Japanese beers, Plum Wine and other alcoholic beverages and also some Japanese soft drinks.

The things I have tried are several of the ramen and all where good and had a great taste. The portions are also big and you get a lot of food.

One thing to also note is that the spicy ramen that I tired was not so spicy, for someone like me that is accustomed to a bit spice. Then I also had the takoyaki that is fried octopus balls with a sweet soy glaze. And that was very tasty and good so would 100% recommend that dish.

The staff are also very welcoming and understanding if someone has not tried...

We had lunch on a Sunday. And the place was almost full already just 10 minutes after opening at 1PM. The ramen broth were tasty. You can ask for extra spicy broth. The only dish that we tried here twice that is so different than other Japanese resto (so far that I have been to anyway) is the karage. It is very crunchy and they seem to fry it with sweet dark soy sauce. This time it was nice. The last time, it was fried too long and the sauce gave a burnt taste. I was apprehensive to order it again this time but my son doesn't eat ramen so his choice was limited. The picture on the menu of the karaage is different from the real dish. Service was not bad. A youngish Japanese man served us. He speaks English. Can't say more. FYI, the place is in the basement so internet connection pretty bad. The last time we used their wifi (I think and it was so so). Ekspertem od ramenu nie jestem, jednak trochę ich już w swoim życiu zjadłem, więc po niejednej wizycie w Wabi Navi mogę śmiało wystawić opinię, bez skrupułów porównując to miejsce do innych, w których jadałem. Chodzę tam z przyjaciółmi, w ramach okazjonalnego wypadu do Torunia, kiedykolwiek zjeżdżam do rodzinnej Bydgoszczy, jednak częste wizyty nie są wynikiem dobrych wrażeń, jednak bardziej to kwestia przyzwyczajenia i fajnego klimatu samego lokalu. Jednak co do jedzenia, miejsce idealne, by przyjść, zamówić, zjeść, zapłacić i wyjść. W sumie taka jest idea ramenu, dania, które w Japonii jest FAST FOODEM! Jesteśmy jednak w Polsce, więc trzeba oceniać na polskie warunki. Tym samym, niestety na nic więcej nie warto poświęcać tam czasu. Szkoda, bo coś z tyłu głowy mówi mi, że miejsce ma duży potencjał, by być kultowym, jednak coś powoduje, że tak nie jest. Jeśli nigdy nie byłeś/aś na ramenie, a nie możesz pojechać chociażby do poznańskiej Mikoya, spróbuj, ale nie zrażaj się, jeśli ci nie będzie smakować. Jest wiele różnych "ramenowni" dzięki którym których zakochasz się w tym daniu. Co do samego dania, jedyną rzeczą powodująca u mnie ślinotok, jest (według mnie) doskonale przyrządzone jajko. Nigdy, w żadnej "ramenowni", nie jadłem tak dobrego jajka, które jest dla mnie smakową perfekcją. Jednak całokształt ramenu nie jest już taki perfekcyjny. Buliony sprawiają wrażenie rozwodnionych i często bez wyraźnego smaku. Makaron jakby niedogotowany, twardy, gruby. Mięso to niestety... kloc, który tak naprawdę powinien się rozpadać i rozpływać w ustach. Obsługa zawsze bez zarzutu, nigdy nie miałem nieprzyjemnej sytuacji. Sam lokal, jak wspomniałem, również mi się podoba. Lubię przyciemnione piwnice i nie przeszkadza mi chłód, który czasem tam panuje. Niestety do takich miejsc chodzi się, by coś zjeść, a tutaj, póki co, szału nigdy nie było (poza jajkiem!) i na razie nie ma....
