I was there for the first and last time. If their cheapest dish isn't good, the expensive one won't be good either. I ordered a chicken tikka masala with rice and a coconut lassi...I...was shocked. There was no flavor, no spices like the description claimed. It was nothing but tomato sauce with some chicken chunks tossed in. Oh...I also ended up biting into TWO cardamom pods, which was utterly shocking to me. I'm at a loss at why the chef would just leave the cardamom in there. I'm utterly saddened at the lack of indian spices or even salt. The waiter claimed they're serving sweet tikka masala at the moment, but...i could only taste the tomato sauce. The lassi was a tiny bit better, but I'd still be better off buying one at the store, again, lacked flavor and was lukewarm. I asked the waiter if the chef was polish, because I was so disappointed with the seasoning. As much as I love indian food, I will not be returning to Royal...

This was a terrible experience, The quality of food seems to be fresh and good... However it has no taste what so ever of Indian Cuisine.. It did not even have that special kick to my taste buds, it was over price and well presented but terrible taste and unusual food color... Made it seem like artificial and harmful to digest!!! ( I would not even go if i was poor individual living in the street.. after tasting it once you will start to appreciate food that you thought it was bad...

I've been there just once. I know Indian cuisine pretty good and that meal which I got was disgusting. I don't know what was the reason but definitely chef there had problems with using too much spices... Way to much even for Indian cuisine. My dish was full of fennel...and that's it, I couldn't taste nothing more.
