Polish milk bars are generally regarded as affordable places with raw decor and sometimes low standard for customer service. You go there to eat ordinary, home-like meal, with no additional features.

Unfortunately, many modern milk bars, try to use those positive associations, while having prices as any other low to mid range restaurant. I guess, that being served by rude staff and getting low quality food generates feelings of inclusiveness and familiarity. You feel like you're eating affordable meal, even though price it rather regular. I suppose many people are not aware that other fancy looking places cost just the same.

I've been there several times and don't plan on returning. Asking question about something that I could read from menu (simply didn't notice) made worker visibly annoyed. Other time I was notified that they are about to close literally 2 minutes beforehand - it really wouldn't hurt to give heads up a bit earlier or even during making order. Food makes impression of really low effort, as someone hated cooking it., it's almost like they try to show off how much of a milk...

Quite surprised by some of the negative reviews here considering it's just a milk bar. I had the tomato soup and pork steak and was quite impressed! Food came instantly and the prices are really good for Warsaw standards. I also like how you can help yourself to as much surowka as you want-quite a wide tasty selection too! Only reason it dropped a star is because, as some other people have alluded to, the food came a little cold. Classic Polish milk bar experience done right. Simple, hearty, delicious food at a price that’s almost shockingly low — perfect for a quick, authentic meal. Everything was fresh and came out hot. The menu is straightforward but has plenty of choices, and the staff was efficient and kind. This is probably one of the best milk bars I’ve been to — if you want a true local experience and great value, this is a must-visit.
