We walked up to the door, which displayed a prominent sign in Polish and in English about wearing masks. Upon entering, none of the staff nor the manager were wearing masks.
The manager politely asked us to sit in the other room before joining us. Upon sitting down, he was snippy, arrogant, and rude. May I note that both of us speak Polish and the conversation was in Polish. Everything we asked of him was a chore to answer.
We told him our number of guests, details about our upcoming event, and we were told how much this was an inconvenience for him and he literally stood up from the table and walked away from our conversation because we're looking for something a year away. May we note that typically people book these gatherings one to two years in advance in Poland.
We were trying to give you our business, and left shocked at how the manager set a whole new low for terrible customer service. I don't think any changes were made to the service here in 30 years.
During our wedding planning we've dealt with numerous venues, caterers, contractors, etc. along the way. We've been pleased with how far Polish customer service has come and how much it has all improved. This place is the exception and it's a real shame given how nice this place looks. We recommend that you stay away from this place.
I'm embarrassed that this type of service still exists here in Poland in some places and strongly recommend taking your...

Catastrophe! The restaurant is NOT accessible for normal visitors! You have to buy a museum ticket to see the menu. Crazy!
As soon as you enter the building, a man (allegedly security. In Corona times, getting so close to someone that you can smell your bad breath is outrageous, by the way) tells you that this area is only accessible to people who have a museum card. He couldn't explain to me why there was a sign in front of the door inviting us to the restaurant. Except that the corridor you have to cross is part of the museum and you are not allowed to enter it without a ticket. Unfortunately, the menu is in the hallway and not in front of the building, so you can't even find out what you could dine at this supposedly illustrious place. Even a call to the restaurant management to clarify the matter somehow meaningfully led nowhere. Apparently, the EMPLOYED management there seems to believe that they are kings ruling over a mini-empire because they were allowed to open a cheap food shack in the wing of the castle.
I will recommend any tourist to avoid this place as there are dozens of nicer places in the area where you will be welcomed like a valued guest.

Katastrophe!
Read moreI hosted a reception at Café Zamek this month and wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant and their team for anyone seeking a truly unique experience in a historic Warsaw setting.
Mr. Marek, our dedicated point of contact, ensured the flawless execution of our event. Communication was effortless and a genuine pleasure.
The cuisine was exceptional, and the team graciously accommodated our special request for a particular dish. Our decision to opt for alcohol-free champagne proved to be an inspired choice.
The service was impeccable, with the staff providing timely and attentive support throughout the evening. They effortlessly adapted to the changing pace of the event.
Without hesitation, I would choose Café Zamek again to celebrate any...
