We went there twice, on the first and the last day of our holidays. The first time we were outside and it was fine. The food was ok and the service was fine. Not excellent but good enough to go back. The second visit was a little longer and not as positive. We ordered our lunch, went to the toilet, there was no soap in it, making me wonder how the waiters washed their hands after their toilet break. When we got upstairs, our table was taken by someone else so we moved inside. The coffee we ordered was made and waiting for me so long I eventually asked the waiter if I could just go to the counter and pick it up myself. Unsurprisingly, it arrived cold and had to be remade. The food was mediocre. Worst of all, I witnessed conversations between staff, who were just bullied so badly by the older waiter (bold patch on his head). He was giving out to others yet didn’t do a very good job himself. I asked for another coffee and it never arrived. I also saw a female manager or the owner (I guess) having a fight with the police be outside in front of the customers about a parking van. She was really rude. The whole second visit left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Bullying like this should never happen to staff! And all this was done in front of the customers. I wonder what happens behind the closed door. I would...
Read moreWe had our work dinner at this restaurant last night and when I showed up I told the hostess the reservation name. She didn’t greet or was friendly, she just asked “what”. It’s not a very welcoming restaurant. The interior design is beautiful and the food is great. They didn’t have any brownies for dessert so I took Tiramisu which was awful. I couldn’t eat it, it was soggy, and too much cinnamon on top. The waitress also shouted at a customer at the table next to us. I don’t think the staff is happy there as the atmosphere was just so 🫤 . I understand it’s Saturday, and it’s holiday season. Chefs are tired. Waiters are tired. I’ve worked in this industry before, so I get it. But if it helps, hire ‘bus boys’. (Someone who cleans and reset the tables) and help the waiters. The pros are that the servers could speak English, the beetroot soup is a must-have, and there are two sections to place your coats. There is also a door to enter and a...
Read moreThe food and drinks were absolutely lovely. My salad was to die for, so good.
However it took 10 minutes from sitting to get a menu that was only after we got their attention, another 15 minutes to take our order, again after getting their attention and from ordering it was a full 40 minutes before actually receiving our drink. We don’t mind waiting for food but waiting so long for a drink was terrible.
From asking for the bill, we have waited 15 minutes and still have yet to receive it and are currently still waiting. You may see us still sitting here when you visit.
So unless you have all the time in the world I do not recommend.
Also it is not busy and was especially not busy when we arrived as it was after breakfast and before lunch really when we arrived.
A further 10 minutes has passed and we’ve just went...
