We went there on my mom’s birthday. And that place ruined her day. Just imagine you eat completely dark and then you put dirty napkin in your mouth! The napkin was on the dessert plate. And it wasn’t ours. They give you fiber napkins but this one was paper towel or whatever. It had a weird taste and it was obviously used. So someone put it in the dessert. Maybe accidentally Idk. Since servers don’t see as well as you don’t see in complete dark, they served us that dessert… and my mom was eating it when she realized the napkin was in her mouth. And when we talked to a manager and the cook, they made as look stupid. They were like “that’s not our napkin, we don’t have this type of napkin in our kitchen”.like it was out fault they made my mom eat someone’s dirty napkin. They didn’t even apologize. And then receptionist just left away. We wanted to ask them to look up cameras and find out where the hack that napkin came from. But nobody was at the table and we didn’t have time to wait for them cause it was actually her birthday and they knew it. So… the worst service ever… the food was ok, nothing special though. Dark restaurant in Poznan was so perfect… and servers actually have special glasses in there so they do see what they serve you. Unlike here… you can get.. anything on your plate that you wouldn’t want to eat. Thanks it...
Read moreA really amazing experience and it was a pleasure to be waited on by Wiola. One’s sight is something we take for granted, but this experience taught me to appreciate what I have while also appreciating the magic of others who are different. When I entered the room, I was filled with unease and anxiety. I literally could not see a thing. I was guided to my table alongside my wife and the whole time I felt like I would bump into something or hurt myself. I was so unsure of my surroundings. I struggled to get my bearings at the table and I felt very helpless feeling my way around the table for my wine glass or my water jug. I tried to eat with the cutlery, but it was a trial and error process. Eventually I resorted to using my hands to make sure I got everything. The dishes were delicious, although I won’t spoil them here (as far as I am aware the menu changes every three months). It was a strange feeling as I slowly became accustomed to the total darkness and even began to see flashes of color and light (note to readers: this phenomenon is called the Prisoner’s Cinema, the surroundings were totally dark!). It was a surreal experience.
After leaving and seeing the skyline of Warsaw, everything seemed more crystalline, more sparkly, more bright. It was a profound experience for me and I am so glad I...
Read morehigly recommended! I visted "different" as my birthday present (30th birthday), it is something else for sure. You wll be exposed to full darkness and a new way of experiencing food and senses. ( by touch, taste and smell only). Prepare yourself. In my case, I was scared a bit but after couple of minutes you get used to the darknesss. I would not treat this as "fun time" but more as a reflection of people's life who are blind. Trying to understand their daily life, struggles etc.
