I am sorry but I can't understand how come this place has 5 stars!!! I can understand that's it's the most in and cool place to hand around in Warsaw (full of posh and famous people) so it's more of a meeting/junction point to show off but honestly when it comes to food or to service they are far from 5 stars!!!!!
Ordered the most expensive pizza with the fresh black truffles in it and it was sooooooo bad.... Like honestly.... It was a blasphemy for the truffles to be on top of something so dry and unacceptable.
Like wooooooo my god, I don't even know from where to start and where to finish but I know for sure that no Naplese person would had EVER accepted to eat something like this. Pizza being brought out fresh from the oven and being so thin and dry and felling apart.... Dough was so thin like a crisp, without any ingredients and felling off that I have observed many other tables were just leaving them out. Not even focaccia is that thin with such a bad dough.. No fluffiness, no crustness, no flavour from the tomato base - was tiny portion, tasteless and felt like from a can and cheese was inexistent and definitely not a fresh buffalo. Super salty and dry... That I had to drink 2 glasses of water till I have up... £20 for the most herendous thing that they even dare to call it a pizza.
And the service.... Woooo, yes of course.... Not being around, looking all the time for them, not coming to check on us and if the food was good, not coming to at us if we need more drinks and basically somewhere hanging around.... All this during the festive season that they should had been full equipped with staff etc
Future advise. If you wanna open a pizza/Italian place in the near future or even improve your current services please go and take some seminars in Italy,...
Read moreMy friends and I had such a shocking experience we spent more than a day talking about it. Sadly, Google didn’t allow me to attach the bill from our supper. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words…
The prices were generally high, but what really got our blood boiling was how we had been expertly tricked into paying 1080 PLN(!!!) for 4 bottles of mediocre rosé wine.
During our dinner, we noticed the serving staff was discreetly topping up our glasses without asking permission. They never left the wine bottle on the table, they never asked us if we wanted to try something different and they never told us the price! I calculated that for the 4 bottles of wine our large group drank, we would have paid 120PLN for even better Chilean wines at Biedronka supermarket. Lesson learned: Do not accept any wine recommendations and ask to see the price. This restaurant does not care about customer satisfaction; its staff has been trained to fleece unsuspecting customers.
The atmosphere became strained as we struggled to divide the costs, all of us feeling like chumps for enjoying our evening and letting our guard down.
Flaming & Co is also the only restaurant I have ever been to which charges you for bread. We never asked for it, and serving bread when pizzas have been ordered does not make any sense. We were also charged for butter which was not served.
We came here because this restaurant was able to take our large group booking last minute. Warning bells were ringing then and my fears were realized when I looked at the menu. The dishes on offer are dull and unimaginative and do not warrant such high prices. There are so many Warsaw eateries with mind blowingly creative menus that this place cannot compete. Maybe this explains why the staff behave the...
Read moreI have to start by saying that I rarely write reviews unless I experience exceptional service, or bad service. During my first visit to Poland, while visiting from NYC, this restaurant was recommended to me by a friend who has visited often. The establishment is a beautiful venue, with a lovely outdoor seating area (where we were seated) but that’s where it stops. The service was absolutely terrible here! The food was so-so.
My entire trip to Poland was a gem, minus my dining experience here. The gentleman waiter couldn’t be bothered to be polite or cordial to my party of 2, and forgot to bring things in a timely manner. He even walked away mid-sentence when I requested a juice, and when asked later about it, he replied that I’d never ordered it. Keep in mind, we went during the week, and early in the morning, so they were not busy. I was with my partner, who is born and raised in Poland, so the communication was not an issue.
If luxury service and quality are what you are used to, I DO NOT recommend to visit this establishment. Coming from NYC, I was extremely impressed by other venues in Warsaw, and this was not one of them. I hope that the management will read this and take in to careful consideration their international clientele, as tourism in Poland continues to increase. I plan to visit Poland regaualryl and have friends who go many times a year as well as several high profile clients, and I will not be recommending this venue to dine. It was absolutely uncomfortable for us, and we left promptly after finishing our meal, as we felt...
