We fancied an Indian curry dinner, so chose to come to the Maharani, as we knew it was located in the old town, as we had passed it many a time, and it always smelt so so nice.
We chose to sit inside as it was more private and intimate😀 plus also to take in the music and decorative atmosphere.
We ordered a chicken Korma, chicken Masallah, two boiled rice dishes, one plain nan and one Garlic nan. We had a portion of poppadoms, which had two them👍
I was amazed by the waiter, he took our order just by memory!😱 fair play to him, he must be very clever! I was expecting something to come back wrong😬😂😆
The food was made fresh and served quite quickly👍 which was great, as the outside section area was full, and I presumed very busy in the kitchen.
The food arrived all together👍 and correct to our order👏👏 well done to the waiter👌 Fresh and piping hot! The Korma was tasty, with a different taste from our home one, really like it though. The Masallah had a bit more spice to it, compared to home, which was very nice though. There was 3 big pieces to each of our nan breads!😱 it was thinner, but extremely tasty👌 We shared our curries and thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. The chicken was of great quality too!
I would recommend coming here to experience this...
Read moreWe went to Maharani restaurant in March during our trip to Warsaw. We were craving for nice and authentic indian food and we decided to count on Maharani mainly due to its proximity to “the royal castle” Let us talk in detail-
Food - food was delicious. We got totally what we anticipated. We ordered chicken tikka, kadhai paneer, Daal makhni and garlic naan. Everything was super authentic India style which means pure indian taste. We just loved the food. I found it hard to stop eating before I realised that my stomach was on the verge of exploding 😉!
Service - Service was not bad either. They were quick to prepare and serve after we ordered. One reason of prompt service could be fewer number of guests onboard at that time hence lower workload. Restaurant staff behaved very pleasantly with smile every-time we had a chat.
Ambience- It was good according to the size of the place. I would really like to wish that they grow in size and make the restaurant appear more royal like a real “maharani” in coming years☺️
Overall a place with great value for money. Totally recommend it for an authentic...
Read moreFirst of all sorry for long review and I won't recommend this at all. We visited this restaurant yesterday when we were roaming in Old town. As an Indian I went to eat and ordered few items. I have a bad experience with grilled Paneer in one of dish and it was without any salt. Whenwe asked then we got response that why didn't you tell to have Indian taste.. the attitude was so high that I couldn't believe and left the situation. I don't know if Polish people don't take Salt at all in their dishes if it was prepared as Polish style and another note if we go to any other country restaurant then they serve their style and not what we need and obviously of we change something taste will go.. then why we don't expect such from such Indian restaurant.. I ate in almost 6 Indian restaurant in Warsaw and this was just one from where we got such response.
Adding more, atmosphere was good because of the location and we sat on outside table and food was little costly but it may justify because...
