Barbakan-Korkociąg — Restaurant in Warsaw

My wife and I were visiting Warsaw for few days. On Sunday we had lunch at Barbakan. I had duck while my wife had salmon. We both liked the place and the meals. I said to my wife you should try the duck. Before heading to the airport on Wednesday we stopped there for lunch and we both had the duck. We were good though after an hour we started to feel heavy. I thought it will go away and we headed to the airport 2.5 hours before the flight thinking we will do some duty free shopping. Once we got there we felt very sick. Both of us couldn’t get out from the toilets. We barely could stand, got chills, sweated and had diarrhea. We couldn’t even go to the gate. I thought we will not make the flight. The symptoms continued throughout 3.5 hours flight and still going on. We are in Armenia for few days visiting my in-laws but instead of having good time with them we are now in the bed. Even called emergency. This is very wrong! I don’t know what it was about yesterday’s duck. I hope no one got sick like us. This place need to be closed if this is not a one...

Very disappointed. Perhaps team had a hangover day, but i have no understanding how can this place have such a good score.

Potatoes were burned and brown-black’ish. Meat was ok’ish but kind of tasteless. The portion size was a joke, even for a child it’s super small. It was like 80g of meat and 100g of potatoes. 4 bites and all gone, took maybe a minute to finish it, i feel like i’ve eaten max 300kcal and i’m still hungry - and i am a small, skinny person who usually can’t even eat a typical portion.

Packaging is very basic, it won’t hold temperature good - and with delivery time of 1+ hour, it was delivered completely cold. I understand that restaurant has nothing to do with delivery time, but I expect packaging to be able to hold temperature for some time - that’s not the case with the box they’re using, which isn’t even little tight. Cutlery was not included, so i had to eat a tiny, cold portion with hands. Don’t recommend this experience to anyone.

This is a very expensive "Bar Mleczny" with tiny portions and very poor service. For example, one potato cut in two pieces and 100-150 grams of sour cabbage costs 36 zloty. I didn't read the menu carefully and ordered just żurek (200 ml for 18 zloty) and it turned out it was just liquid, nothing else. Only żurek in bread (25zl) is the real soup with potatoes, sausages and eggs. My husband and I waited for the second dish for 25 minutes and then it turned out that the waiter forgot about my dish. Then, we ordered a dessert - pie with ice cream and my husband ordered a lemonade. The waiter brought just ice cream and forgot about the lemonade. When we claimed we ordered a pie with ice cream, the waiter brought the manager in... We got the pie in the end. All in all, 400 zloty for 4 people and we left hungry and irritated by waiting and arguing with...
