I ordered ramen at this place, but since the menu wasn’t written in English, I showed the owner a photo and told him I wanted to order that ramen. However, the ramen I received did not match the photo at all. The ramen in the photo clearly had pork toppings, mushrooms, and a generous amount of vegetables, but the one I got only had a single, sad-looking skewer on top. When I told the owner that this wasn’t the ramen I ordered, he said the item listed in Polish below the photo was “chicken ramen.” I had shown him the photo because I can’t read Polish, but he bluntly responded that since it said “chicken,” he gave me chicken ramen. It came across as discriminatory toward someone who doesn’t speak the local language. He didn’t even apologize and claimed he did nothing wrong. He told me that if I wanted the pork ramen, I had to order again. He didn’t seem to understand that if the food served looks completely different from the photo on the menu, that’s misleading and unacceptable. The service was extremely unfriendly, and there was no sense of hospitality toward travelers visiting Poland. On top of that, the ramen was cold, and the broth was overly salty. Since it was an open kitchen, I could see the cooking process—and it was shocking. The kitchen was messy, and they didn’t use sanitary gloves at all. When making sushi, I even saw someone squeezing tuna with their bare hands, with water pouring out of it. It was disgusting. After returning home, I felt really unwell. I would not recommend this...
Read moreThis, right here, is without a doubt the best ramen I've had in Warsaw. I've been going here rather frequently for the past couple of months, and their Tonkotsu Shoyu is no less than The Pinnacle of Ramen Craftsmanship. Honestly, I've tried many ramen chains across Warsaw for the sole purpose of finding the best ramen there is, and their Tonkotsu had singlehandedly restored my faith in humanity. Their kakuni pork has this caramelized finish that gives it just the right amount of crunch and sweetness, I didn't even know pork could possibly taste this good :') The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is incredibly authentic, the stacks of ramen and japanese cuisine cookbooks underlining the fact that the Chefs of this place are masters at what they do.
11/10 would recommend to anybody seeking a high-quality ramen for...
Read moreThis is average. Great place and polite nice service. They got the cramped atmosphere and the open kitchen right, that's for sure. Also prices are very fair, thank you for that!
But, it's still white dudes making Asian food, sorry guys. You can immitate vibes and recipes sort of, you can have great ingredients and a nice menu... But you can't immitate the palate and culture that is required to perfectly understand seasoning, proportions, and why ingredients used are used a certain way.
So, it's just okay food wise, 6/10. And my scale is European of course. Japan scale would make it a 3/10. My scale is: 10 = Umaimon Ramen Amsterdam, 0/10 =...
