Warsaw... It’s been a while since we were here. And now that we are, we need a place to eat. Somewhere to write a bit too. Skamiejka. I won’t go on too much because what can you really say about a meat patty? The ratings are slightly too high, but everyone’s entitled to their opinion. Overall, the place is very nice, and cozy, and has a good vibe. We ordered pâté as a starter, meat patties, and stroganoff. Plus some side dishes :) The salads were tasty. And… the MUSTARD is amazing!!! It hits like wasabi. If you’re not eating pâté because you’re vegetarian or just don’t like it, order the mustard! And a bucket of water! :) I have NEVER tried anything like it in my life. I like spicy, but I don’t go crazy; too spicy is too much for me. My Paulina loves it and usually devours everything, but even she was left breathless. By the way, I love mustard. I go through jars of it. Half a jar goes on a slice of meat :) The pâté was very good, as you can see in the photo :) The bread wasn’t to my taste, but Paulina liked it. The meat patty—called rumsztyk here—was nothing special. My mom, who’s not the best cook in the world (I hope she never reads this), makes better meat patties. I’d describe the...
Read moreIt was very HOROSHO! I highly recommend ordering the dumplings. They are exactly Russian, with that real stuffing as it is usually cooked! You will find vinegar and black pepper on the table for the dumplings . That's how they are eaten in Russia. I recommend to try it (vinegar and black pepper) in a separate plate, because it has its own flavor, not everyone will like it ;) And, be sure to have vodochka for the dumplings, one shot!, you don't need more) It's very soulful!!!! A special ode to spicy mustard! Such tasty and spicy mustard can be only homemade! You can taste it if you order herring as a starter. We took the salad "herring under the pillow" - wonderful! Kharcho - full of spices, very rich and thick! I did not expect but it was so delicious, everything!) Music is on vinyl - very impressive! It's very warm and cozy inside. Definitely recommend...
Read moreWe ate some of the best pierogi we ate all journey, and we've only visited high quality restaurants in our 5 days of Warsaw. The chef made us a special mixed plate of the options they offered and the owner was the sweetest lady. When I told het I loved the glasses in which she served me my wodka, she presented me with the glass and some beautiful cups as a reminder of her charming place. This is the warmest, most charming place I have been to with some of the best food on our trip. I am not one to give a 5-star rating lightly, but this place was excellent, heartwarming and it serves a-mazing food! ♡ For 66zl we drank a glass of wine (a very fine one), a shot of superb wodka, some sparkling water and a plate of pierogi we got a plate of free watermelon since it's hot. I recommend this place to anyone who...
