We’ve been here for the degustation (tasting) 8 dishes menu. The food is actually exquisite if you don’t choose the steak, which is tiny (I mean, ok it’s 8 dishes so probably the main should be tiny - it’s just that seeing a tiny steak makes me sad). Tuna is exceptional. The only thing, we really got tired of yuzu in everything - from dessert to mocktails.
Look, we get that Tuna can be read as yuzu. But it would be nice to see more variety.
The chef is so cool and he greets you personally.
The caramel made of halibut fish gave me the creeps. Also I can’t stand the syrek wejsky, but that’s a personal taste - and it was in 2 dishes.
Overall, we enjoyed our dinner and the quality of food, the tasting combinations and service.
Maybe, 3+ hours on that chair is too long, the service could be quicker.
The music was driving me crazy at some point, why not go for some cool South American/Spanish vibes? Much better than the techno stuff, no?
So, really, I appreciated the effort very much, it’s only 4 stars because I see that the place is striving for a Michelin star and there’s area for improvement - hopefully you will listen to my review and improve!
Ok, the photo is fancy cheese with sashimi at the bottom and cherry sauce.
The guy that tells you about the wines is very cool, he deserves a raise and I wish he was...
Read moreFirst of all, the food was very good and some of the dishes were true masterpieces. Heads off to the chef. So this part was actually quite good. As dar as service is concerned, it’s still better than average Restaurant In Warsaw, but certainly nowhere near the level of the restaurant Tina position itself. Ambience and decor were also quite poor for this type of restaurant. There was no cozy atmosphere, furniture around the room was very basic. IKEA bookshelves seem like. Logo and design was actually very good and for through carefully. I guess the biggest problem for me an overall experience was time it took to go through menu tasting. The brakes between the meals were too long and overall I spent double amount of time that planned to spend there and have to cancel meeting in the evening. In the beginning of dinner, I fought to myself, great place to bring your wife. (I was on the business meeting. At Tuna). at the end of the evening, I thought to myself there is no way I can bring my wife here and spend so much time for dinner. Super mixed feelings love what chef is doing with the food, but delivery and service and ambience need to improve to be positioned on the same level as food, otherwise value for money is not working very well in Tuna’s favour. Looking forward to see all the improvements to change my rating...
Read moreTuna is an absolute gem of a restaurant that would create backed-up waitlists in any city in the world. Luckily for the residents of Warsaw, it’s located just around the corner from Tamka street.
I had the pleasure of dining at the restaurants for a few weeks during a brief visit to Poland, and I was blown away by its original approach to seafood. Fish and other ingredients served in the form of traditional meat dishes, like jerky or sausage, make it one of the most exciting spots on the culinary map of the Polish capital. Tuna tartare, which became a mandatory position in most NY and LA restaurants, is the best I had. A must-try when you visit!
The restaurant also offers top-notch classic dishes which perfectly complement the more modern and creative positions on the menu, so everyone can find something that will satisfy their taste and appetite.
Last but not least, Tuna's minimal yet very original interior and casual vibe make it the perfect place for any occasion. I will definitely be back for more. It’s by far my favorite...
