Winowajcy Roku — Restaurant in Warsaw

We went for late lunch on Saturday there. Quite difficult to get the table, ss the place is busy. Also with parties, which currently off half of restaurant. My starter was liver on toast, which was good itself, but toast was too greasy and oily. Heavy simply. My wife and son had an octopus. Both were bad. No excuse, sorry. Little portion for the son, but that’s not the point. It was not crispy, it was chewy, gummy. My dorada fish was good, but had much better many times. It seamed to be seasoned, but for me in a weird way. To sour. The best and really good was pizza our daughter had. I had 2 pieces and enjoyed it. Now! The service is unfortunately bad. We waited 20 minutes to get drinks. There is no manager and waiters seem to walk around without any sense. Sorry guys. The bar tender bangs cracking unexpectedly ice I guess and scared us twice. I jumped on my chair. Seriously. The place is pricy for the quality it gives in both food and service. To be fair and look for positives the interior of the place is nice. The ratio value for money is poor. We paid 520, drinking just 2 beers for 1 starter + 4 mains and 1 desert. Oh! On positive side, they have Guiness on draft, but don’t know how to pour it. Pretty cute local spot clearly leveraged for family’s and groups alike, the decor is a bit all over the place but somehow works, its not gonna win any awards but its cozy and clean. The menu is all over the place but from what I’ve seen come out of the kitchen and what we had they do a great job! Started with the olives and some super fresh bread which I believe was a version of pizza dough. After that i had sort of a naked lamb burger with delicious fries and nice salad. My friend had the pumpkin soup which was excellent. If you’re in this neighborhood and wish to eat a great meal at an even better price this...

Dwukrotna wizyta w tej restauracji pozostawiła we mnie mieszane uczucia. Zacznę od tego, co bez wątpienia zasługuje na najwyższe uznanie, obsługa kelnerska. Za każdym razem spotkałem się z nienaganną kulturą osobistą, uprzejmością i świetnym podejściem do gościa. To rzadkość, która zasługuje na mocne wyróżnienie.

Na klimat lokalu również trudno narzekać, doskonała lokalizacja, piękny ogródek oraz oranżeria tworzą wyjątkową atmosferę. Wystrój jest ciepły, a wygodne stoły, krzesła i fotele sprzyjają długim rozmowom. Szczególny urok ma położenie – zaciszne, tyłem do ulicy, frontem do parku, co pozwala naprawdę odpocząć od miejskiego zgiełku.

Niestety, w kwestii kuchni czuję duże rozczarowanie. Podczas pierwszej wizyty próbowałem tatara, który zachwycił jedynie formą podania. Wizualnie dopracowany, ale smakowo nie wyróżniał się niczym szczególnym. Druga wizyta, w ramach poniedziałkowej promocji na pizzę, niestety pogłębiła ten zawód. Pizza okazała się całkowitym niewypałem. Minimalna ilość składników, które były rozdrobnione do tego stopnia, że trudno je było zauważyć czy wyczuć. Jagnięcina przypominała drobinki starte na tarce, a całość była pozbawiona soli i wyrazistości. Zamówiliśmy cztery różne pizze, a wszystkie smakowały praktycznie tak samo… niestety tak samo źle. Przy dość wysokiej cenie autorskich pizz spodziewałem się czegoś zdecydowanie lepszego i uczciwszego. Jedynym plusem była tu jakość sera.

Podsumowując, restauracja urzeka klimatem i obsługą na najwyższym poziomie, ale kuchnia, przynajmniej w moim doświadczeniu, nie dorównuje temu...
