Doner Kebab Ali Baba — Restaurant in Évora

The food here was excellent. Great doner kebab wraps, pitas, and salads. We stumbled onto this little spot in Évora while we were wandering around looking for food with our three kids just an hour before bedtime. We were hungry and most of the other restaurants were closed and we found Alibaba. They invited us right in and we had their wonderful kebab house special and it was fabulous. They prepare the meat with three types and spices themselves, some of the best we’ve ever had.Watched a little Formula One racing on the TV and had a cold Sangre, perfect cure for being hangry . The proprietors spoke English and were not nearly as surly as most of the other restaurants...

If you like Pitas and have had enough of 50 Euro dining tabs, try this. We did and LOVED it! A chicken pita and a pita with different meats in a misha (?) blend were too generous to finish. Great taste plus perfect pita bread. And hot french fries.

Cooking/serving couple could not have been more gracious and helpful. Didn't have any alcohol but expect beer and wine are available. Down a little side street from the square. We're going back for sure. Hghly...
