So went on a reccomendation and I asked the waiter for a very cold white wine he produced a very empty bottle from the chiller and asked if it was cold enough, yes said I, only enough to fill the glass half full he topped up with tepid white from the store .. arghhh not nice. I asked if all the ingredients were fresh and of a good quality and was reassured that all was the very best and it might not be fast but very tasty , I was excited. I ordered poppadoms and pickle, the onion mix was so hot it wasn't nice, not to my taste. Next came the prawn puri, very tasty but only 3 prawns.. come on, a little mean.Next came my chicken Pathia, sauce was very tasty but the chicken (breast) was pre cooked, tough and chewey such a shame despite being told the opposite, keema nan was OK lacked lamb more of a hint than an ingredient. Finally I asked for a brandy and cola, I got a dribble over ice and a can of cola. Very average I would not reccomend sorry. 2 out 5 for me. Great expectations but sadly let down . A classic case of over promising and under achieving. €29 not...

If you expect the sort of food you'd receive in a UK curry house then this isn't for you.
We did the 2 for 35 euro offer. Its pretty solid value, although most restaurants do a tourist menu for a similar price.
Chicken Madras was okay and pilau rice was lovely.
Pakoras were average and bland.
The Tikka masala was horrid. Not sure how I'd describe it. Almost like the consistency of baby food and with a really weird taste. We didn't touch it at all. We eat a lot of curries and that was honestly the worst dish either have us have ever tried.
Naan bread was fine but nothing like traditional naan. More like a crispy pitta bread.
When we mentioned the tikka we clearly offended the manager/owner and received fairly sharp service from that point.
To be honest if you avoid the tikka the foods probably okay. Generally we've found the food in the Algarve pretty naff compared to other...
Read moreI visited this restaurant whilst on holiday and ordered a chicken passanda which is one of my favorite Indian dishes.
When it arrived at the table, the sauce was bright GREEN in colour and when I tasted it, my "passanda" tasted of nothing but MINT.
It literally tasted as if the chicken had been mixed with a jar of mint sauce and the flavour was so strong, I couldn't bring myself to eat it.
I told the restaurant owner, who in fairness didn't charge me the for the passanda (albeit he charged me for the bland rice and thin, crispy and overcooked naan that they'd also served me).
The owner insisted that he had served this dish for 20+ years at his restaurant, to customers from all over the world and no one had complained before but I have eaten plenty of passandas in many different restaurants and never have I been served such a disgusting, random concoction as this GREEN CHICKEN...
