So, we actually tried this place only because of their promoter on the street (we met the lady several time during our stay & she was very welcoming and helpful in our first day). The experienceâŠwas a mixed one. Starters were decent. Main course (burgers) were basic and honestly, it just feels like no effort was put into it, and the place was not even crowded. As a piece of advice for the owner, a burger does not need many ingredients to be great, just need attention (heat up the buns a bit before serving, souces inside the bun & not on the table - gives more flavor to the burger, meat should be medium-rare not well done). The food is not bad, but it ainât fantastic either. âNot great, not terribleâ!
The green wine selection is really good & overall, the prices are very friendly, quite cheap if I may say so, but obviously you give up some quality.
The staff is friendly and responsive, but not professionals (noticed this when we observed another customer complaining about their food), so nothing to comment there, honestly.
A decent place, but donât get your hopes too high up. Just enjoy their...
Read moreOne star is being generous for this place. A family dinner turned out to be a disaster. So many positive reviews attracted us to have a dinner at this place. Having a number of restaurants on one street makes one wonder which one to go for. Unfortunately, we had a very unpleasant experience visiting this place. Three of us had to wait about 45 min for our order to be served and when the food arrived it was absolutely uneatable. I wonât say anything about the over cooked and completely rubbery mixed grill dish that I have ordered, but my childâs hamburger arrived as a plain burger in a bun, not even a lettuce or a tomato to complement it. A very well known fast food joint serves better dishes that Carpe Diem at a fraction of the price. I am sorry guys, but you need to get your act together to justify your four star rating. For the visitors, please think twice before visiting this restaurant, my advice, stay away and spend your money elsewhere, there are plenty of local restaurants that serve authentic...
Read moreWe were a party of four. Three of the meals were reasonable size and quality by the fourth, a Greek salad, was very basic and at best the size of a side salad. The waitress cleared the table whilst one member of our party was still eating and asked if we wanted desserts. After everyone had finished their main course two members of the party ordered desserts, one of which arrived and the other we were told much later on was not available, so we ordered an alternative which I had to chase up as it was not arriving. The first member of the party had finished theirs before the second members dessert arrived. At the end of the meal someone whom I assumed was a senior member of staff asked how our meal was and when I tried to explain the above he just walked away. I wasn't trying to get a discount, I was just giving honest feedback and prior to this I was not going to write a review, but this attitude changed my mind... courtesy and manners...
