Casa Algarvia — Restaurant in Albufeira

What have they done to this fabulous restaraunt. I have been coming here for 40 years. It is in my top 3 destinations in the world. I have introduced many friends and family to it, making wonderful memories. But today when we went for lunch as we do every time we come here ( usually several times) we were shocked to see that they have ruined the outside eating area with silly deck chairs instead of the tables for people to eat at which was one of the main attractions. We were then told the kitchen was closed as it was the end of the season. On 6th September..what nonsense!!?? Along with us another couple and a party of 10 were on their way to be told there was no food service. That's 16 covers in a few minutes. Most venues in the area would be delighted to get that level of custom. The beaches were busy so to be shutting down at this stage is madness. So I hope whoever owns/runs the place now thinks hard about what they have lost due to the unnecessary changes they have made to this much loved, traditional and historic part of...

One of our favourite places in the Algarve. It has Great location that is almost on the beach, So close you can hear the waves crashing against the rocks. The food is amazing and portions are large and well cooked. A very good and varied menu with lots to choose from including vegeta, rian choices. The drinks are limited too a couple of beers on draught, and with a small selection of spirits and sangria. Food was OK. Not Special . I ordered the squids but they were Out....ok then the sardines...also Not available. The Boss Came and told us that in this area No fresh sardines were available ...the season has Not started. Ok i understand that but He told me He dont buys Frozen sardines cause He wanted to Serve only fresh fish. Then i ordered the squid Rings....
