How this restaurant is rated as a 4.8 star is beyond me. We should have left from when she came to take our order and she told us to hurry up she has to go, that in itself was rude to begin with. Then being told that you ordered something you know you don't like or eat by the waitress is rude and unprofessional. Myself and my daughter ordered a kebab with no garlic sauce. After waiting ages for the food my daughter's came with garlic sauce. She took it back told waitress she did not ask for garlic sauce. The waitress in insisting that's her that is what she ordered. I unstand it was busy and people make mistakes but putting the blame on the paying customer is unacceptable. She ordered my daughter an other meal and again it came with garlic, on the 3rd attempt she got it right. When I went to pay I quietly and politely asked her if she was going to deduct my daughter's bill for the poor service she started shouting creating a scene in front of all the other customers using hand gestures, saying you ate all the food now you don't want to pay, you eat you must pay. The rest of the famiy then joined in threatening to call the police. I wasn't refusing to pay the bill, but as a professional business that would have been he right thing to do. Terrible service Slow Unprofessional Mediocre food Not worth the wait or service Waitress was rude, no etiquette, rushed us to place our order said she has to go she busy. Food took ages to come then when it came i was given the wrong thing. I told her it was wrong and she told me that's what i asked for as she wrote it down ( Just becase she wrote it down doesnt mean she is right she could have admitted she heard wrong as I wouldn't have asked for something I dont like!), she then said okay but you have to wait 8 mins, i said that's fine. They then brought my food again and it was wrong for a 2nd time. I spoke to the waitress she apologised and said she will remove it from the bill. I've been coming to this part of portugal for 20 years and I can promise you that you will not find a better takeaway than this place, we found it in the summer after having a bad experience at the xl urban food in the centre of the old town, it's hidden away just up from the taxi rank, I have not noticed it before so I don't think it has been here long but we are so glad we have found it. It is cheaper than anywhere else you can find in the old town because it is not in a prime location but trust me the kebabs are amazing and you can have as much sauce as you want, it's run by a lovely family and the lady behind the counter remembered us when we returned in October, I thought this was something she said to everyone but she remembered exactly what we had and how we both liked our food, it has a really relaxed atmosphere and is used mainly by the locals and if there is one thing that I have learnt from my travels is that if the locals love it then it must be good it isn't just full of tourists it's a real local hub.
