Pickwicks Tavern — Restaurant in Albufeira

This was just steps from where we were staying in the Algarve in Albufeira Olhos de Agua area so we visited several times for dinner/lunch. Very friendly family own business, owner and waitress spent time chat about the history of the restaurant and their time in Portugal. Nice view of the water with plenty of outside seating. Great selection of food and great drinks too. Try their sangria or Pimms drink. For dinner we had the ribs, fish and chips, fried shrimp and the meat pie which my husband said was the best he has ever had. If you have the pleasure of visiting Portugal, you must stay at Olhos de Agua We went all inclusive and stopped at a hotel on top of the hill. ... But my advice would be to rent a apartment in the bay. The atmosphere is great, not for the teenagers but for families!,, I absolutely loved going to Pickwicks Tavern, the food is certainly something I would recommend and to be honest, I don't think I ate a evening meal that I enjoyed more, the people there are fantastic and their breakfasts are legendary!, if it wasn't for these guys, let's just say they made our holiday. A friendly pub very close to Praia dos Olhos de Agua set on the square. It is not enormous, but there is plenty of seating outside in what is a pretty perfect location. A small selection of Portugese and British beer, the menu is also mixed, and the food very good. It seems popular and the staff are very friendly and time permitting, happy to have a chat!
