I have eaten here for years , I'm 38 years coming to the albufeira, and every year on the last night , we leave the best to last when it comes to restaurants, but.....oh my dear ...what has happened to Wild & Co...the menu has changed and both the choice and the food has taken a serious nosedive... The beautiful goats cheese and spinach parcels are gone...I couldn't choose a starter so I had none, my Wife had the Breaded Prawns and they looked horrible, she said they were only ok, no side salad..nothing. For Main course I had pork belly and it was DISGUSTING, it was floating in oil, little to no meat, practically all fat ( and yes I understand the concept of pork belly I used to be a chef) , I ordered potato gratin with onion and bacon, you could hardly cut through the potatoes as they were like rubber and again floating in oil. I tried to get through half of my meal but struggled, it was horrible. My wife had steak and she again said it was grand, but that's coming from someone who has had nothing but salad all holiday. I am really really disappointed with the restaurant...we used to love this place but unless it goes back to it's old ways and menu..and chef then we'll have to...
Read moreHad my eye on going here having seen it a few nights previous and wanted a quality steak not one where every restaurant and Cafe offers them. We seated ourselves on the outside balcony. The decor and ambience of the restaurant is slightly upmarket so quality fixtures and fittings and glasses etc. ironically the side plates were Churchill made in England 🏴 They were particularly busy and my only gripe would be I had to get a waiters attention to get a menu other than that the service and food were excellent. I opted for the sirloin steak with Rockfour which came with vegetables and I asked for sweet potato fries which had a sprinkling of Parmesan on them. husband opted for duck à la orange again with mixed vegetables and sweet potato fries. I had the house red wine which was nice and palatable. Overall a very good experience the owner clearly cares as wanders around asking if...
Read moreFrom the moment that we met Gary outside of the restaurant, he was very warm and friendly, he was not pushy which while walking past the busy restaurants on the strip is a welcome. We got an insight into what dining in Wild and Co would be like, from the moment we walked in we were met with top class service by Richardo and Cris, they made us all feel so welcome, gave us very good recommendations on the menu and the food we were served was top class and they went the extra mile for us all. Although the restaurant was busy, we never felt rushed, and the staff were so attentive and we did not once had to call them over to ask for service. If you are in the area and you don’t want to miss out on a superb dining experience, Wild and Co is a cut above the rest. Thank you the all the staff especially Richardo,...
