🇬🇧 Updated Review – From Disrespect to Intimidation

The restaurant enjoys a truly magnificent location, directly adjacent to the beach, with sun loungers and umbrellas available for rent just a few steps away. The natural setting is idyllic and certainly worth visiting.

However, our experience was significantly tarnished by the behaviour of the individual apparently responsible for managing the sunbed rentals. This gentleman, a Black African man, collected money from us on several occasions without providing any receipt. On one occasion, he attempted to charge us €15 for just one hour for two people – a fee that seemed arbitrary and excessive.

More disturbingly, during a brief exchange he asked us where we were from and whether we were Muslim. Upon receiving no answer, he mockingly shouted “Allah, Allah!” in a clearly disrespectful and derisive tone. We chose not to engage further, but were deeply troubled by such religious intolerance – particularly in a multicultural, touristic setting.

After submitting a review reflecting this experience, I informed the same employee of what I had written. In response, he became visibly aggressive, ordered us off the beach, and made my wife fear he might become physically violent. He also warned us never to return to the area again. This threatening behaviour is unacceptable and deeply alarming.

It is truly unfortunate to encounter such hostility, especially when many go to great lengths to avoid racial discrimination. Respect must go both ways.

While the restaurant itself may be decent and the location stunning, the presence of such a person severely damages the reputation of the establishment. Management should take this matter very seriously.

O restaurante encontra-se numa localização verdadeiramente magnífica, mesmo ao lado da praia, com espreguiçadeiras e guarda-sóis disponíveis para alugar a poucos passos de distância. O cenário natural é idílico e certamente vale a pena visitar.

No entanto, a nossa experiência foi profundamente prejudicada pelo comportamento do indivíduo aparentemente responsável pelo aluguer das espreguiçadeiras. Este senhor, um homem africano negro, cobrou-nos várias vezes sem emitir qualquer recibo. Numa ocasião, tentou cobrar-nos 15 € por apenas uma hora para duas pessoas – um valor arbitrário e excessivo.

Ainda mais preocupante foi a sua atitude durante uma breve conversa. Perguntou-nos de onde éramos e se éramos muçulmanos. Ao não receber resposta, começou a gritar de forma sarcástica “Allah, Allah!”, num tom claramente desrespeitoso e zombeteiro. Optámos por não responder, mas ficámos profundamente incomodados com tal intolerância religiosa – especialmente num ambiente multicultural e turístico.

Após enviar uma avaliação relatando esta experiência, informei o mesmo funcionário sobre o que escrevi. Em resposta, ele tornou-se visivelmente agressivo, expulsou-nos da praia e deixou a minha esposa com medo de que pudesse tornar-se fisicamente violento. Também nos disse para nunca mais voltarmos àquele local. Este comportamento ameaçador é inaceitável e profundamente alarmante.

É verdadeiramente lamentável encontrar tal hostilidade, especialmente quando muitos se esforçam para evitar qualquer forma de discriminação racial. O respeito deve ser mútuo.

Embora o restaurante possa ser razoável e a localização deslumbrante, a presença de uma pessoa assim compromete seriamente a reputação do estabelecimento. A gerência deve levar este assunto...

This is a really nice spot on the beach and the food and drink was great but the service is some of the worst I have ever experienced. On two seperate days we sat and waited 15 and then 25 minutes before staff even acknowledged us, the second occasion my partner literally got up and asked them if they would please come and serve us, was told yes and then they still just didn't come near us. A phenomal lack of caring was observed including staff argueing amongst themselves and standing watching tv. The place was full, there were about 6 service staff and I could count at least 3 seperate groups waiting to order/being completly ignored on our second visit. We honestly should have just gotten up and left, not that they would have even noticed. When we finally had their attention they were rude and just generally had really bad attitudes. Im sure this place makes a mint based purely on location so maybe owners dont care but they must be losing serious additional business with such...

Comedy club. We were literally there few minutes ago and I had to write a review. We stood at the door and said we would like to eat and inside, the girl kind of ushered us into the place and she was gone, no menus no offers of drink, nothing. We sat down at a table, and employees passed us up and down for next 5-8 minutes. I then asked for menus, he gave a us one food and one drink menu. When I realized I asked for another food menu, and he disappeared. He passed and dealt with other people, whom he also ignored. We then asked another waiter and ordered our drinks. The burger, was a little bit undercooked but i was starving. The BLT was shocking, barely any bacon on the 6 slices of bread. As we sat close to the bar, it was quite obvious how much a comedy show the place was.. ignoring people, bumping into one another, not knowing what they are doing, walking around aimlessly.

Need a a manager, and staff training. Or both. Or just new staff. Has very...
