Aveiros — Restaurant in Albufeira

First of all, the nice photos of the food and drinks don`t correspond to the restaurant. They are completely stolen from another restaurant or are photos of an old restaurant on the beach. What you will find there has nothing to do with it. It was absolute chaos. They took a long time to serve us, like 20 minutes. After ordering the food, we had to wait another 20 minutes for them to tell us that one of the dishes was out of stock (sardines). Then they told us that we could change it for the Robalo (Lubina). But one cost €15 and the second €25, for a fillet of nothing. Horrible. And of course, they charged us the €25. €18 for a jug of sangria. What?! All the waiters walking around the restaurant like headless chickens. Expensive and bad. I do not recommend it at all!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't understand how it can have a 4.5...

I would attempt to start with redeeming qualities however we didn’t stay at the place long enough to find any. Visited here twice and on the first time, we were hurried out by a man who claimed the tables are reserved despit the reservation signs being on opposite tables. Considering he did not even offer us tables anywhere else, this is just plain rude. We decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and visited again the next day only to be told the same thing, even more aggressively and rudely. I can only assume that this man caters to a select few people and, for lack of better phrasing, tells the rest to politely shove off. Again, I would mention things I found good about the place and would bump my rating up based on those but as we spent a grand total of 5 minutes over two visits...

Discovered this lovely little place on a coastal walk, from Praia de Santa Eulalia towards Albufeira old town. It’s great! The staff are very friendly. The menu is clear. The location is superb.

I only had a bottle of water, a beer and a portion of sweet potatoes fries so haven’t really had chance to sample the main dishes properly but the other reviews look great. The portion of fries was massive (I took the photo after I had already eaten a lot of them)! Could probably serve two. Very crispy and tasty 😋

I visited at 3:30pm in the afternoon, as the tide was making its way in. Incredible views in this tiny cove.
