Golden Cliff House — Hotel in Albufeira

A unique private home complex sitting on a large piece of beach view property that has been in Helena’s family for 100 years. There are three gorgeous apartments and a large shared rooftop deck with panoramic views and plenty of sun to lounge in. It is set apart from the other hotels quiet and private. A short walk to old town and a sandy stepped hillside path down to the beach nearby where you can rent chairs, stroll or swim. While it is on a main road there is a large pullout with over 15 parking spots that we had no trouble parking just two steps from our door. We stayed in the smallest apartment facing the road. But with a lovely private courtyard out front as a buffer it was not an issue. The apartment was spotless, recently decorated with great amenities, kitchen, a washing machine and A/C. With storm shutters closed and light blocking drapes we had a peaceful sleep every night. Helena was very responsive as she lives in the main house on premises. She provides beach towels and a few snacks and is a lovely host. I would only caution there are a few steps involved for all apartments if you need to know about accessibility.
