A lovely, yet expensive, restaurant. I had a 3 course meal here, unfortunately I went while a hen-do was on in the downstairs bar, with loud uk-house blaring alongside a really annoying hypeman, so I can't give it full score for atmosphere. On the plus side the view while eating is great and the atmosphere indoors other than the noise was pleasant. The waiters were punctual, infact probably the most punctual I've ever experienced, the moment my glass was empty they refilled it, anytime I needed something they immediately came, and answered all my questions.
As for the food, I had a 3 course meal, Salmon Bruchetta, Calzone Bombolone, Chef Choice Dessert. The Salmon Bruchetta was underwhelming and overpriced, the flavours were basic, just salmon on toasted bread. The amount of brie was pathetic, couldn't taste any honey and the lemon was negligible. The Calzone Bombolone was good, but the artichoke pieces were poorly cut and ruined a few bites. Otherwise flavour was great and portion good, price was good if a bit steep locally. Finally got dessert I'm not entirely sure what I had but it was delightful, it was listed only as Chefs Choice/Special, waiter gave me two options, from my poor hearing and the party music barring I couldn't make out what he said other than one had lemon so opted for that. Oddly I don't think there was any lemon in my dessert in the end! But definitely a good way to end the meal.
Personally I wasn't a fan of most of the food options in Albufeira, but i would...
Read moreI recently visited Trattoria Toscana, and it was an incredible dining experience. The warm, inviting atmosphere instantly set the mood for a relaxing meal, with a cozy, authentic Italian vibe that felt both rustic and modern. The staff were welcoming and attentive, enhancing the experience further.
I ordered the pizza and the mushroom risotto, and both dishes exceeded my expectations. The pizza was perfectly baked, with a crispy crust and a rich, flavorful topping of fresh ingredients. The balance of cheese, sauce, and toppings was spot on, making every bite delicious. The highlight, however, was the mushroom risotto. Creamy, rich, and bursting with earthy flavors, it was a true delight. The texture was perfect, and the mushrooms added a depth of flavor that made the dish unforgettable.
The ambiance of the restaurant, with its dim lighting and casual elegance, added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. It's a great spot for a laid-back yet refined meal, perfect for both casual dining and special occasions. I highly recommend Trattoria Toscana for anyone craving authentic Italian food with a modern twist. I will definitely be...
Read moreThis is my favorite restaurant. From the minute you walk in the door you feel truly welcomed by all the staff. Amazing place to see the Sunset on their terrace while enjoying delicious Italian food. It’s owned by Andre (has 5 restaurants)who must treat his people well as everyone is happy & gracious who work there. Linguine allo Scogligo is crazy delicious with fresh seafood &a sauce you want to lick the plate. For lunch bruschetta Italia, Mista salad, & deep fried squid & shrimp - pure goodness & you soak in the sun and watch the waves. The Bologese is perfect comfort food. I like to order the specials as I believe out of the 5 restaurants this one is my favorite & the chef thrills me every time. Martin, Amin & Rita always welcome you with a smile, they are fantastic at their customer service & they have mastered their craft. Martin is very knowledgeable on the wine list & always ready to suggest something new. The sunset is absolutely breathtaking from their terrace & a bonus if Matt - from Matt’s Bar is spinning tunes downstairs @ Waterfront. That’s a perfect evening for me! The limoncello from Italy at the end of the meal sends me...
