Honest place, nice guys (brothers? similar glasses) and a lady who served us--all welcoming. Ice cold beers (€2.50/300mL), spicy linguica (€9) and fries (€3.50). Gambled on the cold octopus salad and was pleased--huge chunks tossed with vinegar and crunchy vegetable pickles. Fresh and tangy in the afternoon heat, and a great value €12.50 for the amount of octopus they served. If you're trying to choose a place in this area and don't want to hike further up the hill, definitely stop here. No bread/cheese/olive starter offered as mentioned in old reviews from 2+ years ago. The worst food I ever had! We don't eat fish so we haven't tried it. I asked for the Turkey- they didn't have it. We ordered the mix meats , it was hard as rock we couldn't eat. The waiter forgot everything we asked...he brought me beer I didn't ask for, he took it back. they changed my husband's food, it was better but only okay. I asked for mayonnaise for my French fries ( it wasn't good), he gave me frozen bottle of mayonnaise I opted it and pieces of ice fell from it and nothing came out. Service was slow. Absolute favourite seafood restaurant anywhere I’ve visited. Incredibly good value for money, clean and loveliest atmosphere, never too busy, service time is fine (not sure why others complain about this, never a problem when I’ve been), the staff are always lovely, helpful and professional, and the food is just unbelievably if you enjoy your seafood!
