Sentido do Mar — Restaurant in Almada

We visited this restaurant in Covid19 times. We got a table inside, it was very noisy. The lady from the service was great. But due to this special time, they did not offer a menu. We had to use our mobiles and search the given website by ourself. That did not work well (we did not really find an english menu!). So for some of our group the order went to a surprise. Another restaurant offered QR Codes to download the menu on different langguages, that is the better conclusion and worked well. I have had the Gourmet Burger with fries and a salad. The fries were the best in portugal, the first crispy ones. The burger was a bad surprise. Even the patty was great. But the combination of patty, mushroom, cheese, tomato, pineapple and peach was not my favourite... And this burger tower was uneatable on the wodden plank where it was served on. The upper bun was very hard, linke a tank. No chance to use the fork, not when ist was on top of the tower, neither when lying on the plank...

The brownie dessert was very tasty.

Maybe i would give only three stars. But because of the great service, the delicious brownie an the food from the other group members it will be very low...

Seated with a friend by the waiter. We had 4 beers and a water - at no point we were informed that we could not sit just for drinks. Waiter came by to deliver drinks for both times and still nothing - Once we decided to leave the owner , arrogant and rude lady with glasses, came to take payment accusing us of doing it on purpose when we didn't even know what "it" is. Not only the service was horrible with both tables around us complaining more than once they have the rudest and most incompetent lady running the operation that will give you a prime example of how NOT to manage a restaurant. Ah and the place was dead , 4 beers and a water on a Sunday night at that price with no customers seems like an ok deal. Feel sorry for the staff. If customers deal with that attitude ,...

My boyfriend and I go to eat to Sentido many times. Every time we went to the restaurant the super nice staff always find a table for us, sometimes without reserving. Raquel, the manager, always keeps an eye for the clients, she is very kind and professional and also very delicate with her moods. I personally love the variety of sushi and sashimi fusion that the chef makes. He has the capable of changing the details of the plate every time: from maracuja to flowers (to eat) you can find a surprise every time!

The meat is also very good, the potato fries that comes with picanha are home made! The quality of the food is always fresh and good from Monday to Sunday and it’s really worth to go to...
