I recently discovered Surfin Coffee & Bowls and loved the fresh, vibrant energy of the place. Nestled in a relaxed neighborhood, its décor reflects a beachy, surf-inspired vibe that immediately put me in a good mood. I ordered their acai bowl topped with fresh fruit, granola, coconut flakes and honey—which was colorful, wholesome and full of natural sweetness without being overly sugary. To complement it, I chose a freshly brewed iced matcha latte, which paired beautifully with the bowl and elevated the light, tropical feel of the meal. The portions are generous and the price is reasonable for the quality and ingredients you get, making it accessible yet a little upscale. The staff were friendly, laid-back and attentive without being intrusive, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. The waiters were lovely, however the Portuguese lady behind the counter making beverages was super unpleasant. My husband got talked about so rudely when simply asked if she speaks English please to reorder something more and got responded as " No I don't! We're in Portugal so we speak Portuguese" I mean you're literally catering to ONLY tourists in a highly touristic area, who speak mostly ONLY English to pay such exorbitant prices for your brunch or breakfast, to be talked back in such a manner and tone is just unapologetic! My husband was so disgusted and disgruntled that he simply left with may I mention partially hungry. Such a pity! I'd highly highly recommend to pass this place and go instead to a near and much much more amazing and a super friendly environment brunch place called the Koa. The prices and obviously the bad humour does not deserve this place to be visited.

We came here for brunch. The server took forever to acknowledge us when we arrived. When we eventually got seated, the server told us that we COULD NOT ANY of the toasts on the menu. So, we ordered a salad. Five minutes later, the server came back and said that we couldn’t order a salad because they DID NOT HAVE ANY LETTUCE. WHAT KIND OF A RESTAURANT DOES NOT HAVE ANY LETTUCE TO MAKE A SALAD?!… OMG. So, we tried to salvage the moment, and we wanted to order a side of smoked salmon. But then the server came back to us AGAIN and said there is also no smoked salmon. With all the options that we wanted to order, they had nothing. So, we basically got up and left. OMG

I am the type of person who NEVER writes a negative review. EVER. So, when I have to make an exception and take the time to communicate every detail of my negative experience - then this particular cafe is appalling. If I could give this place a zero star, I would. Please do not waste...
