We ate here yesterday and the food (all vegetarian) was truly amazing, the staff very kind, and the ambiance comforting. It wasn’t clear before entering how it worked (a sign out front might be helpful to entice new customers) but there was no menu since the food options change saily. They had three options for the main course to choose from, and when you ordered you would receive soup and tea, then your main course with salad and rice, then a dessert. All options were vegetarian or vegan and the price was very inexpensive for incredible food. The main I had, a salted savory “cake” filled with vegetables was divine and the chocolate cake for desert was perfectly sweetened and not the overly sweet thing one would get in the States. We were treated like royalty. The vegetarian and vegan food is incredibly flavorful and has a range of hearty and sweet dishes balanced in a healthy manor. There is the option of a three course meal, beginning with a warm a delectable soup - the miso in particular has a savory and invigorating ginger taste. The entrees vary, but the seitan is truly incredible, mixing fruits, vegetables, and deep wheat flavors with a sauce of poppy. Finally, there was dessert. Oh my! The cheesecake was a fluffy, gelatin blend topped with fresh raspberry jam and the orange cake had an airy texture.

I think what this place lacks in bringing out the taste in their dish, makes up for by niceness. Which is added to the coziness and earthiness of the atmosphere itself. + huge advantage might be the price. The plate I ordered was mushroom tart, which is served with the blandest integral rice, and a hearty amount of salad, that is well-seasoned. The mushroom itself is also hearty. Overall, I wouldn’t mind going there another time to try to taste another dish.
