The day after my husband and I got married, we came back to our favorite restaurant in Braga. This was our second time at O_Filho da Mãe. Pur first time was in September 2024, before their received their first Michelin star and once again, September 2025. By far this is one of the top 3 restaurants in all of Portugal that I’ve been to. The restaurant was able to accommodate a last minute reservation of 9 people and treated us incredibly well. The owner, Eurico, picked all of our meals and treated us to a personalized experience even while the restaurant was full of people. He celebrated with me, my husband, and our group of friends who all came because of the raving reviews. Even after the restaurant closed and we were waiting for our uber, Eurico still hosted us and gave us a glimpse into his restaurant and how he is able to create an outstanding experience in such a cozy place. I cannot wait to return back to O_Filho and be greeted by Eurico’s wonderful staff and food. It was just divine and truly a constant highlight whenever I’m...

Our second main dish consisted of two huge shrimp that again, was so over cooked and for €30 over priced and both paired with lots of very dry brown rice and came with an apple purée 😂🤷♂️. A good attempt but a long way to go for the chef in refining this technique....
Read moreOutstanding experience at O Filho da Mãe! The food and presentation were spectacular and the service was incredible. They graciously accommodated our last minute reservation change from 7 people to 9 and they guided us through the menu so we didn’t have to pick anything. Everything was fresh and flavorful while not being overly complicated. My favorite was the broken eggs, the oxtail empanada, and the sea bass-stuffed pani puri. The staff were so friendly and attentive, especially the owner Eurico, who let us stay past closing and chatted with us on our last night together in Braga. Muito obrigada,...
