Frigideiras da Sé — Restaurant in Braga

I had the pleasure of dining with friends I hadn't seen in nearly a decade at Frigideiras da Sé and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The food was outstanding, and I particularly enjoyed the Bife à casa, which was cooked to perfection and full of flavor.

Not only was the food excellent, but the beer was also served perfectly cold (I had a couple of "finos"), which added to the overall dining experience. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, making it the perfect place for a relaxed meal under the near Spring sun.

One thing that stood out to me the most was the exceptional service. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and they went above and beyond to ensure my friends and I had a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience. The attention to detail and personalized service truly made me feel valued as a customer.

Hostile to visitors. Early lunchtime. Only one table occupied. He comes and asks whetber we had reservations. Gotta give him credit because he kept a straight face while doing his comicly transparent routine. Then he walked back to the kitchen and announced in a stage whisper "tourists." I understand how tourists can overtake a place. And I also can empathize when people are boorish when visiting another country. But what I cannot understand is prejudice. The food maybe good but I wouldn't know. I waited for over 1/2 hr while an obnoxious waitress who smiles while being rude and inept at her job ignored me. By the time she got around to me, the kitchen was closed. Her excuse for her bad customer service was that she didn't speak English. There are servers all over the world that provide good customer service without speaking English or other than their native language. I translated my problem into Portugese and she clearly couldn't have cared less. Bad service and servers fake smile aside, they only accept cash and the kitchen for breakfast/brunch closes at 10:30. On the plus side: the coffee is good. It may take a long time to get it though

A comida pode ser boa, mas não saberia dizer. Esperei mais de meia hora enquanto uma empregada de mesa desagradável, que sorria enquanto era rude e inepta no seu trabalho, me ignorava. Quando ela chegou, a cozinha estava fechada. A desculpa dela para o mau atendimento ao cliente era que não falava inglês. Existem empregados de mesa em todo o mundo que prestam um bom serviço sem falar inglês ou outra língua que não seja a sua. Traduzi o meu problema para português e ela claramente não se importou.
