Café Vianna — Restaurant in Braga

We found this place by accident, it was our first time in the city and, I guess, this place called us. Its atmosphere attracted us and we decided to give it try. As soon as we sat down we were greeted by a lovely waitress that welcomed us and made us at ease. At first we just wanted to rest and have refreshments after a long walk discovering that area of Braga, but the place was so appealing that we ended up having lunch and coffee afterwards. It was our first time trying something that we saw a lot of guests ordering. The Francesinha sandwich, it is to die for. I wish I could order like seven of them, the toast, cheese, meets, and fries were just outstanding. We were glad we tried it the first time here because we had somewhere else in Porto, but it was nowhere near the deliciousness of Cafe Vianna. The wait staff were outstanding as well since they all helpful. I highly recommend Braga visitors to give this place a shot and try it...

Well, where to start with cafe Vianna. I was really hoping to have a pleasant Bananeiro experience in Braga but unfortunately it was negatively affected by this restaurant. The food was very late (even though the restaurant was not full), when asking for extras (salt, sauces etc) I needed to ask to 4 different people several times and with luck it would come again very late. The cherry on the top of my experience was when the coffee cup came after my meal with a lipstic stain. I was disgusted and shocked...I can leave up to you to judge the COVID hygiene situation (or the lack of it). I complained to the waiter and he just took the coffee back and did not even apologise. After this wonderful experience you also pay a very overpriced bill. This place is only pretty to look at ... avoid...

This restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the warm and inviting interior decor—stylish, cozy, and thoughtfully designed to create a perfect ambiance. The location is fantastic, super convenient, and easy to find, which is always a bonus.

The portions? Generous and satisfying! Every dish we ordered was not only beautifully presented but also bursting with flavor. You can tell they use fresh, high-quality ingredients. The sangria, in particular, is a MUST-TRY—it’s hands down the best I’ve had, perfectly balanced and so refreshing.
