Mesa na Praça - Mercado Municipal de Braga — Restaurant in Braga

I like to go and eat there, mostly I order my food inside since I work nearby, they have nice restaurants and a place to connect the laptop and charge. However I once unforgivably brought my food with me -as I didn't know it wasn't okay to do that- the security there was super rude since I was a foreigner, I thought she said "you can't heat your food here" since it was a self heating container but once I didn't understand and ate the food cold she came back and acted like I was a child. Speaking loudly in Portuguese "how many times I have to repeat myself, you can't eat here!". I know I was in the wrong but the lack of respect was obvious. I wouldn't advise you to go there if you are a foreigner , she acted like I killed someone and refused to speak calmly when I told her I don't fully understand Portuguese. I had nice food from the leitao place, my gf got frozen fries from the fake Gyro shop which is just a kebab and has nothing greek about it. Also the security woman decided to follow us around and just stand in front of us and just stare at us silently. I can't really judge the atmosphere because it was so empty, but I like the quiet, so 5 stars it is. I'd love to see these small restaurants get more support. It's a great spot just outside the bustle of the town centre, where you can sit down and relax either indoors or under umbrellas in a wide open outdoor space.
