First of all when you make an online reservation, there is no options for inside or outside sitting and we arrived to the restaurant at 7.00 when there was no one and the restaurant didnt wanna let us sit outside claiming our reservation is not for outside and its fully booked. We dined in until 8.30 and there was still empty tables so restaurant’s reaction is not OK. Moreover food was really below average. Garlic shrimp not tasty, fish soup not good, the salads look very sad and tasteless. Im sorry but you can not slice a tomato into 4 large pieces and call it a tomato salad. They also leave a large tray of stuff such as cheese, butter, olives which every item costs from 1.5 - 4.5€ total of maybe 15€ without asking us whether we want them or not. Just dropping off and adding to the bill. The only thing we liked was squid but if you add that much garlic to me, I would also taste good🙄. Finally the whole outside sitting is covered with flies which makes the whole experience so tiring and awful. We asked why is it happening, they said its seasonal and normal and actually they said they usually have more🙄. I strictly won’t recommend this restaurant...
Read moreI was here on 13.8.23. We approached the restaurant and the hostess was assisting what seemed to be regulars at the place so we waited. After she was done with them she looked at us and ignored us so we waited assuming she was taking care of something for them. After about 10min of my family and with two small children being ignored by several wait staff and the hostess I asked a passing waiter if we could get a table. He told us it was impossible. There were at least 6 tables open on the outside and a few tables inside. Not only did they ignore us but they ignored us knowing we had small children and they didn’t want to serve us but also just failed to tell us we would not be seen. Rude staff all around. The place looked nice quaint and menu was a typical Portuguese menu nothing you can’t get at the place next door or at 100 other small quaint spots in the area. We left and found another place to eat. With so many other options we were fortunate enough to not have to look far. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone based on the way they selected who they would service and who...
Read moreI don’t understand why this restaurant gets such a high rating. My husband and I went based on reviews and it was one of the saddest dining experiences we’ve ever had. The waitstaff on a recent Friday night consisted of servers who were maybe new because they didn’t seem sure of much nor understood that it’s very uncomfortable for diners when you stand in a row from a distance and just watch them, waiting until you can take their empty dishes. But with only 3 tables full, they didn’t have much else to do. The food was mediocre at best. I’m thinking something changed with management or ownership since a year or so ago because even the photos look different. Very disappointing since we were looking for a place out of the center that was more local with the traditional warmth we’ve gotten used to in Portugal. It also seemed overpriced compared to Lisbon, but I guess most of Cascais is overpriced for tourists and rich retirees. If you go, I hope you have a...
