Not sure if we caught a bad day, but one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. They got our order wrong. Food took over an hour to start arriving, even had to tell them to leave the last of our order out because it was ridiculous how long they were taking. We asked to share everything we ordered and they came one by one and somewhat cold every 20minutes after waiting a an hour for the first plate. Service was terrible, waiters seemed nice but lacked the communication skills and did not handle the situation adequately. Maybe get some more experienced waiters or train them?

And on top of the for a restaurant on the pricier side in that area, you would expect much better. In the end one of the servers apologized to us and gave us 10% off our bill. However this wasn’t actually not discounted off when another of the servers came by when we wanted to pay. Having had enough we just paid and got up and left.

The actual atmosphere is quite nice and the decorations are really lovely. Shame the rest of the restaurant wasn’t to par.

A waste of time and money. Hopefully they are doing better, but based off of my experience I definitely don’t recommend coming here. I live around the area and can safely say there are much better places to go within that...

Was really excited to try this place after reading rave reviews but overall I was disappointed.

Came here for lunch with my mum on a day trip to Caiscais. We ordered the fresh tuna Pica Pau with ponzu to share, my mum ordered the Sr. Manuel’s sirloin Prego and I went for the Lobster toasted brioche with avocado, spinach, quail eggs, with lemon and olive oil sauce.

The tuna pica pau was really lovely and mum said she enjoyed her prego sandwich, which was tasty but a little small for 10euro i thought.

I however was bitterly disappointed with the lobster brioche. For 16 euro, I was expecting a lot more lobster than 3 tiny little rounds which were sadly chewy and overcooked and lacking flavour. Essentially it was a 16 euro avocado on toast with quail eggs. For a seafood restaurant I was definitely expecting more.

I can't comment on the other dishes, but all I can say is definitely avoid the lobster brioche if you want value for money....

The restaurant itself is lovely though, lots of outdoor seating...

Avoid avoid AVOID! You’ve been warned! We went there on a Wednesday night. 6 open tables outside. I tell the hostess we would like drinks and some tapas/appetizers. She says “you have to get dinner” in a stern voice. Ok? Not sure what that means exactly but we are planning on spending enough to make it worth their while regardless.

Anyway, the steak is so tiny, I ordered the whole portion and it’s got to be 125 grams like literally a 4oz portion. Totally unseasoned floating in butter, unsalted at that and the fries were cold and limp, the thinnest fries too. Again unseasoned. This was 26 euros.

Wife had their fish and seafood pasta a la Cascais, which had soft over boiled macaroni as the pasta, it was spicy. That’s it, just spicy. We had crab dip which was okay, I’ll give it that, for 18 euros. Slow service on top of it all.

With food and multiple drinks we spend about 110 euros for two people, I hope that’s enough for the manager to be...

I had lunch here and won't be coming back. We ordered 12 clams for 18 euros. That’s 1.50 per clam. I also had a Vinho Verde and a non-alcoholic Gin Paloma. Even though the drink had no alcohol, they still charged an alcohol tax for it, which makes no sense. We shared some bread, which was okay but nothing special. The bigger issue was the overall vibe. The service felt cold and pretentious. As a tourist, I didn’t feel welcomed. It seemed like the locals got more attention and better treatment. The portion sizes were small. The prices were high. The experience didn’t match the cost. Watch your bill closely. This place added charges that weren’t clearly explained. I expect transparency when dining out. This place didn’t deliver. I would not recommend it. There are better and more honest places to eat in Cascais.

Above expectations: tasty food, cool atmosphere sitting at the tables in the street and very gentle snd caring staff. Had dinner for 2. We were welcomed with some slices of bread accompanied by persil and garlic butter. We shared and enjoyed all we ordered: stuffed shrimps with tomato snd garlic base, grilled squid (served with white rice) and polpo a la gallega. All was amazing, but we “had to” take a second time the shrimps, so to enjoy more shrimp and use the tomato and garlic soup as a top for the rice we got with the squid. The rice topped with the tasty soup turned into an unexpected and delicious course. We finally took a lemon mousse topped with crumbled biscuits: a fresh and delicious way to end the dinner. Highly recommended to go, and suggested to book a table says in advance.
