Itâs very seldom I have such a bad experience that I feel I have to leave a 1 star review. It makes me sad to have to do so.
Service âmakes or breaksâ a place.
I was predisposed to like this place just due to fond memories of my visits to London. Anyway, I push for us to go here instead all the places we could get brunch. I regretted it from the moment we sat down. This is the 2nd place (in 30 years traveling, 5 continents, 25 countries) that I ever have gotten up and left. Abysmal service. Believe the recent reviews! Management.. âmark us.â
There were several handwritten signs âtips or bad s 3 x for lifeâ âŠ. I am thinking youâd need to deserve those tips at the very least by providing the bare minimumâ a basic, rudimentary, elementary level of politeness. If the folks providing this âbadâ service are the judge of whatâs âbadâ, then I think we donât need to worry about consequences for not leaving tips. Maybe itâs preferable đ
I hope the owners have a look at the recent reviews and provide some training for the client-facing staff. Customers donât come here expecting âWorld Class Service â. Itâs a casual pub, even if itâs in Estoril. ok đđŒ However, every other pub weâve ever been to has provided a standard of service. They want to sell drinks so they always ask what youâre drinking. Thatâs just basic, but it didnât happen here. I must point out that there were no other customers inside, and just 3 outside. So the 2 front of the house staff were literally at their leisure. They used this down time to look everywhere but at the happy, new customers that came in ready to try this place. Idle hands, so I canât believe the owners know. I hope this was just an isolated incident, but after looking at recent reviews (should have done that before), it seems that lately itâs happened several times.    Read moreWe have just visited this bar. We have been here before in the day time and had no issues. However, tonight we had a disappointing experience. We ordered a beer and a Gin and tonic. The beer was fine but the Gin and tonic tasted like water. We asked the bartender if a fresh tonic water had been used. He said it had but we explained that the drink was flat and tasted like water. The lady bartender asked the man who appeared to be in charge if she should offer another drink but he refused. We asked for the bill but left the Gin and tonic as it was not an enjoyable drink. The lady bartender asked the man if she should delete the charge for the Gin and tonic but he refused and charged nearly Euros 15 for the 2 drinks. My partner questioned this but he refused to acknowledge any issue and was very sarcastic to us. He was rude when all he had to do is offer a new drink which would have solved the issue. We do not recommend this bar at all purely for this...
